Thank you for sharing so thoroughly. This gave me more of an idea of what a shift would be like. Very detailed.

How did you get into psych as a new grad? How was the training? Did you do a residency?

I just stared watching your videos. Thank your because are very helpful. In the other hand, there is something not much clear for me. You became a BSN being a LPN straight? Or how you did the Bridge? Thank you in advance. 😊

Thank you! I had a bachelor’s degree before becoming an LPN. So instead of doing the LPN to RN associate bridge program I just did the accelerated BSN program for people with previous bachelors degrees.

That’s Nice! I didn’t know that Petrona even exists. How could you advice people like me who is just staring taking pre requirements. Thank you in advance for your gentle response.

    Hi Ruby,
I feel like I’m currently in the same spot as you were in. I’m currently a new grad RN in a graduate nurse program on a cardiac floor. Although I have a want to work in the PSYCH field I felt that I was pushed to go this route. An now I am regretting it. It’s been two months and I have watched nurses cry and beg for help. What would you suggest?

I would suggest going to the specialty that you want to go to. Even though people are pushing you to go one way, they are not the ones going to work with you and experiencing how you feel. Do what makes you happy and comfortable

Psych in my area is lost in space with the non-binary nonsense. They, them. No thanks. I'm in this field to help people. You twenty somethings talk to me in 10 years about how that all went.
