- This video, Adenium Bonsai Root Training ( updated ), shows innovative root training of a Thai Socotranum adenium bonsai tree. It also shows how the roots of the desert rose plant looked 10 months ago and how it looks now with a 25 days update. What is innovative is that a piece of circular thermocol is fastened to position all the roots in the direction we want. Really love your videos. I cut my adenium to try radial roots and it works great.
I just don't remember how much time I have to wait before changing the pot, it' about 1 to 2 months I've done it.

When is best month for pruning the roots
February (2nd week ) to March.
Hello I purchased a desert rose a few weeks ago this winter in Arizona, I know it needed some help so that is why I bought it all the leaves are dead the stem tips are starting shrivel up I put a moisture meter into the pot it came in and it says it is moist still. I left it inside my house with no sun, to keep it warmer then the tempters outside. Eventually I'll attempt the bonsai look but I think i should make it health before spring time when I think would be a good time to start cutting it up, or is right now a perfect time to cut it while its dormant, unhealthy, and sad looking? Not sure how to cut the stems there is two stems on top of the small cortex, one is 3 inches tall very skinny the other is the main stem with two branches in a Y shape. Can/should I cut the stem to save it while its winter? or would it be best to train it as a bonsai now? Thanks for you help any input would would awesome, love your desert roses!
Wait for Spring to come. Better if you could send a photo of the plant with a brief description of the age ,caudex size, color of the caudex etc.
@@dotbasecamp I don't think TH-cam allows you to share photos, sadly. I'm just mostly concerned with the tip of stems shriveling up. According to the meter the soil is still moist so I don't understand why it's shriveling up. 🤷

Please can you tell me from where I can get a Thai socotranum adenium in india and what would be its price ? Of all the nurseries that I have visited, all that they have is adenium obeseum.
I think the best option is onlne stores like amazon , seedsnpots etc. In seedsnpots 5 thai Soco seeds cost Rs.150.

What if the roots are small and big, not equally Sir?
I have so many plants that have unequal roots. But Thai Soco usually grow many roots out of which the same roots are selected and promoted to grow.
