Kokeshi Dolls: More Than Just a Souvenir // JMC305 Project

JMC 305 Project:
A souvenir; a toy; a message; an art; Kokeshi Dolls have been an iconic symbol of Japan for both tourists and locals alike. Eileen Presto, a Marine Corps spouse, has traveled to Japan twice following her husband's deployment, collecting Kokeshi dolls whenever she could. What started out as a decoration for her house, these unique wooden dolls have become her obsession, as she learned more about their history and craftsmanship.
