- I recently booked a vacation to the new all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana in the Dominican Republic, and I booked the trip using Costco Travel. I walk through how Costco Travel's base rate and "value adds" combined for $1300 in savings on my booking at the Hyatt Ziva Cap Cana.

Just curious, what was the price difference if you were to choose the lowest non-refundable price? Would Costco still beat it?
Good question and I don't recall the exact numbers off the top of my head. I do remember that the non-refundable rate was closer than I expected to the refundable rate, and I want to say it was a few hundred bucks cheaper in total for 6 nights. It wasn't memorable nor would I say (in my case) that it was worth it given Costco's prices and their friendly cancellation policy (in my case my trip was fully refundable until 14 days prior). I know booking through Costco requires an upfront deposit. When is the balance typically due?
