Can you put some roundup in a cup and brush some on the canes when you cut them back. That way your not getting any on the rose bush? Just a thought. 🌸💚🙃 we have stump killer we brush on random pop up trees, mulberry are the worst for us. 🌸💚🙃
Hi Beth!!! ❤ I love you. 😊 What a sweet lady you are. For the Blackberry growing out of the base of the rose..I would probably dig out as much dirt from around base of the Blackberry canes and with a pruning saw cut them below soil level then cover the 'stumps' back with the dirt. Then place an old rug or carpet remnant over top. Then mulch or compost. If they don't get light then maybe they won't grow back. I probably wouldn't spray because of the rose. I think it will be able to handle you digging around the Blackberry canes and be just fine. Love your videos!!! ❤❤❤😊
I'd plant some small little evergreens or perennials all the way around the base of the rose. Roses have 'ugly legs' lol and look better with something planted at the base. Love your videos!!!! ❤❤
@crowleyhouseflowerfarm Can't wait to see the next Wedding on the Farm!!! Have you ever met Laura from Garden Answer? She lives in Oregon too!! She would LOVE you!!! I watch both of your channels religiously. ❤️💗❤️

Thank you for another great video! I just used my first batch of comfrey tea on my garden and I loved feeding the garden with something I grew. 🌻 Thank you for sharing and teaching!
I just planted a prairie fire crabapple. I can’t wait for it to grow and flower. The fruits are persistent so the birds can enjoy them through the winter. 🌸💚🙃
There is no way I can keep up with the weeds in an area that we just clear cut behind our garage. When you clear out the big stuff and you get a rain which we badly needed the weeds grow like crazy! I would like to create a garden out there so I’m going in with roundup today to try and get a handle on those weeds and pop up coral berry shrubs that are growing back from runners. It a nice calm day so I shouldn’t have any over spray so I’m going out there to battle the jungle that’s trying to grow back. 🌸💚🙃
I have an abundance of Borage around my garden. It’s in the same family as comfrey I think. Can I use it to make a fertilizing tea??? Thanks! Love your videos!
I think the tall dainty plant in your pot is thalictrum i have one in my garden it has yet to flower tho hopefully this season 😊 i love your hosta with the purple flowers - on my wishlist! Do you know the name of the one you have in the pot?
At least your septic system clean outs are at ground level. Mine are at least 18 inches below the ground and I don’t want to cover them with anything, been there done that, because it’s a pain when you have to try and find them again. But I also have holes, gapping holes where the clean outs are and I can’t figure out what to do with them . Their in a very odd spot, I could put planters over them but that would maybe look very weird considering they would be just out there with nothing around them. I’m hating how it looks now but I also have no solutions.🌸💚🙃

That might just work, thanks

@crowleyhouseflowerfarm I've used this approach with Poison Ivy 🙄😵 and it worked!! LOVE your videos Beth! Thank you for your reply ❤️💗❤️
We have grape vines growing EVERYWHERE. I’m thinking about trying to make some grapevine wreaths as we’re trying to pull them out. 🌸💚🙃
That's what I do!

Great idea, this garden has big plans so that just might work

Well, happy belated birthday! I'm sure your gardens are amazing and full of beauty.

Wonderful! I'm looking forward to using it, I think the first batch will go on the dahlias.

I used to have one at our old house and just love them, so beautiful, and I do like how they feed the birds in winter.

Good luck! Sometimes, it's the only way to tackle an overgrown area of weeds.
Please don’t use Round Up 😢 It kills the beneficial insects, we need them.
I hope we get to see the finished product of your comfrey tea? 🌸💚🙃
Very soon! The Dahlias will be getting first does soon.

I think it would work great! Try it.
Do you ever get nervous when wading into an overgrown area at what may be hiding in there? Snakes, big spiders ect…? 🌸💚🙃
We do not have any positions, snakes or spiders in our part of Oregon, just yellow jacket nests pop up from time to time.

Yes, it is!! Now, to retain that name😅

Thankful they are at ground level for sure! I just ended up putting mulch over and a few rocks! 😄
