Unfortunately a lot of Jamaicans lack knowledge, and the ability to reason. It’s hard to improve with that mindset.
Jamaica is in a position of “it done gawn bad already” when it comes to crime and violence. The stats shows it’s getting worse. Like naro said, Jamaica really needs a culture shift. The culture is definitely cultivated and saturated with violence. Some ppl love it so much dem guh fi the dead.

One thing we always seem to forget is that there are other music in dancehall to listen to. If violent music is not your thing, listen to other music. But what we do sometimes is want to tell people what to do. We completely disregard people who listen to violent music and never commit a crime but just love the griminess of the music. If people were not consuming the music they wouldn't continue to make it.

A guess the youth doing what he did, is causing the rise of crime. I don't support crime, but I think they looking in the wrong places for reasons.
Cavani's celebration was first shooting a rifle he got a card and never did it again. Didn't know the starter was shooting his gun at the competitors or his fellow officials. Stop defend foolishness. It doesn't make him a criminal obviously but doing that does no good for his reputation. He made a mistake, no need to sugarcoat it or exaggerate it. He apologized, he learnt his lesson. Move on!

We need to appreciate art and understand that a lot of these gestures are art. Gun is another sports but because it hard to own and accept gun in JA which would be the biggest help to the crime in Jamaica. The biggest problem in Jamaica is gun and weed. Why legalize them and make it available and see the difference ignorance is a thing what is the harm in giving people guns to protect them life. If it’s used inappropriately then you can find the shooter way easier than a illegal gun u going to have shootings robbery and everything still but which have more benefits talk about that

Student athletes on a whole been having tattoos, flashy hair n all a dat, even at the collegiate level. We just backwards and worry about stuff that don't affect the price of rice, flour, meat etc.
