Work with almost all women, and seriously… no one hates women quite like other women. Given my work, most of my friends are women, and we’ve talked about this whole thing. Two of them were basketball players in high school and one in college. But they doesn’t watch or care about the WNBA. They says the NBA is far and away more entertaining, and that the drama that gets spun up with the WNBA about pay and how they interact with the NBA is, “super embarrassing.” “This whole thing with Caitlin Clark is just super embarrassing as a woman… like, it’s all of our stereotypically worst behavior traits. Envy, pettiness, cattiness, and just shittiness! They’re the same girls who will go on and on about supporting women but they see one as more successful and better than they are… and prettier… they blow it all up and act like petty bitches and make the rest of look crazy…” ~female friend and ex college basketball player

@@aurapris9591 I dunno, for the sake of argument, today, I guess you can call it hype. In four years time, CC could be considered mainstream. MJ's popularity only got bigger and bigger. No where near as big, Jeremy Lin still commands respect to this day for his contribution to the sport. But yeah, team USA screwed up. It's like game of thrones season 8. Cersei, Sansa and Arya just did not like or respect Daenerys Targaryen at all, even though she was bringing the smoke. They practically wanted to fight the night king and white walkers by themselves, when in hindsight, her dragons and armies did the majority of the work. It's like, hello, wake up, don't these wnba divas know wnba has always been teetering on bankruptcy since day 1?
Team USA seems horribly mismanaged. I agree that Clark should have been picked but another huge snub is Arike Ogunbowale who is probably the best player in the WNBA. She decided to not make herself available for selection after being snubbed by team USA for the last Olympics. Get rid of the coach and the whole committee. Bunch of bigoted dinosaurs.
Clark is actually the player that they wish they could be. Her attitude is great, no baggage garbage of drug habits and drinking. She's not trying to live the party lifestyle, and she wants her TEAM to succeed. It's just pure jealousy.
Sad truth. None of them energize anyone. Some, who I won't mention, play woodenly; slow, tedious play. Caitlin e engined people, with her passes and occasionally fabulous shooting plays. Basketball IS MORE than basketball. It's a business, it's entertainment, and it's a sport. You want the best players. But you must remember those other things. I could not care less about what the coach, or committee say. When you add a player to your doormat team, and suddenly you're beating the best teams, there is something there. They dropped the ball. They need to get over it, check their bias at the door when they leave their house, and fix things, not make excuses.

I take exception to her claim that CC wasn’t playing then as well as she is now. She came onto the worst team in the WNBA and did play her heart out but her team mates were not up to her level, dropping passes, missing buckets, turn overs, poor team defense. Now that her team has had a chance to practice and get up to her speed it’s like a whole different team and their record shows that! CC is very special, everyone should enjoy this while it is unfolding!
PLUS, they packed the worst team in the league's starting schedule vs all the hardest teams in such a short amount of time, trying to set Caitlin up to fail. She said NOPE!
hottest WNBA duo right now is the rookie guard and sophomore center Aliyah Boston. i really love how they've clicked. Fever in the playoffs for the first time since Tamika Catchings retired... and most of that is down to CC. some peeps are just flat out jealous of talent. that's all it is.

You either need some self-reflection, or else stop spouting ignorant shit on the internet.
Everyone who has been invested in the women's game up to now understandably resents the realisation that despite the years of toil and millions in NBA subsidies, their output just hasn't been good enough to make anybody-as Cheryl Reeve puts it-”give two shits". It hasn't been misogyny or racism-although they have had to overcome plenty of each-it's been indifference. The combined effort of every woman who has played in the WNBA has simply failed to muster the spectacle that Caitlin Clark brings by herself. Basketball fans don't have anything against fake eyelashes or bedazzled outfits but they're just decoration on the genuine spectacle of lights-out game. Everyone involved in the history of women's basketball should feel proud of the fights they've won and the roads they've paved so that those who follow can concentrate their energies on the on-court product. Maybe the attention and appreciation Caitlin Clark brings to the game are bit sudden to approach without at least a bit of caution, but it's perverse to _want_ to treat it as a threat rather than embrace it as the tipping point you've fought so hard to reach, or thanking fortune for finally delivering your just rewards.

Committee straight up snubbed CC and are reaping the benefits of that trash decision! I mean they put Griner on the squad and even IF she was the best WNBA Player in the league, she should of not been on it as a rep for the US, due to her past choices.
@@einefes People of her her color and sexual preference are an under-represented and marginalized group in the WNBA. She was more than normal and repeatedly the object of trash talk on and off the court (even by a coach), physically bullied by players who wouldn’t hesitate to call her a “white b*tch”. Then she was snubbed for the Olympic team despite her obviously superior skills. Too new. Not enough “chemistry”. Some global majority commentators even said her “pretty privilege” wouldn’t help her in the big leagues. Every effort was made to deplatform her early on and to characterize her as naive, inexperienced, as uppity, an upstart member of the global minority. Micro aggressions and classic bigotry were apparent every time CC challenged the narratives of entrenched ideas in the WNBA. That would exhaust anyone.
The WNBA is structured to give black and LGBTQ women the "keys" to the league. They are the gatekeepers to a players success, if you do not conform they will put every roadblock imaginable in your path.
The snub worked out best for Clark since she got some much needed time off and also avoided the Olympics fiasco caused by the disgusting opening ceremony with spreading backlash in viewership on TV as well as live. They had to lower ticket prices to entice people back.
Reeves, Staley both have over stuffed egos. They clearly resent the truly generational talent that is Caitlin Clark because they can't claim any stake in her success. Their authority is a sham, and their disingenuousness and hypocrisy are a shame. Any interested fan is shortchanged by their hypocrisy and their steeping lack of credibility, which just gets older by the day.

Caitlin broke so many of the records of the players actually picked for Team USA, so Staley's comment about Caitlin not playing as well as she is now falls flat. Like what, Caitlin goes back to square zero and has to prove herself all over? I think Staley's answer was PR. I'm actually happy Caitlin got a chance to take a week off in Mexico and refresh. She looks really relaxed now, in availability videos, and she can work with the team over the next few weeks and bust butts after the Olympic break. By the way, you have a way with putting your thoughts into a logical presentation, which is very compelling! :)
What you're saying is simply not true about records. She has a few. The main one is first rookie to record a triple-double. The second is assist record with 19. Those are great, but those were done long after they selected the team.
Bull Pucky, no one under 26 on Team USA, Diana Taurasi played as Rookie... Caitlin should be playing that slot. Angel Reese should have slot of Bob Griner.
I have a feeling the Team USA head coach will "have other opportunities" after this olympics. She won't be back. I also have a feeling many of the committee members will also have "other obligations" or "begin to transition out" of their roles. Team USA structure will significantly change. Not having Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese has absolutely brought about this change. The sponsors will ensure this happens!
Nope...she is too haggardly unpresentable in front of the world... I'm sorry but for world stage this time around... Physical appearances do make a difference....case in point, would you most likely support an old tired looking coach or perhaps a vibrant, energetic and full of enthusiasm type of person??? I'd say the latter makes more sense to me...after all, we're trying to grow the sport NOT scare potential promoters and investors away, RIGHT???
Coming out of college clark was superior to both Stewart and Taurasi when they came out. Both were selected to the Olympic team and clark was not. This smells of Uconn grads getting preferential treatment (rizzotti). Staley despite what she says, has had a bug up her ass about Clark since she lost to her at the final four-snubbing her for the point guard award for hidalgo, making snarky comments about her in the middle of the season, calling her coach a racist, ect. Reeve has openly attacked her since she came to the league, 94' defensive pressure in an all star game?, back handed comments about the league being about more than one person, and don't think for second that black girls rock shirt wasn't aimed at clark and her fans because she thinks they are racist for some reason. Just a few examples of why clark wasn't invited and it's pretty gross behavior from the "adults" in the room.

Someone needs to look at Geno Auriemmo about his role on selection committee in rejecting CC. He may feel a certain way because he snubbed her for college as well.
I root for the USA, not just one player. Perhaps you don't understand it's a TEAM sport, not a cult of personality. Having said that I also love Clark's game and think she would have made a fine addition to the Olympic team.
It's a load of bull crap. Chelsea Gray was injured until June 19, her first game back of the 2024 season. They made the announcement on June 11th. They made sure to ask Gray when she was expected to return - guarantee. How do you pick someone for the Olympics that didn't play one game? Then you say Caitlin Clark wasn't playing well at the time, but actually she was. On June 10, Clark had 78 Assists and 210 points - season totals at the time. Chelsea Gray had 0 Assists and 0 Points at the time. But it was Caitlin Clark that wasn't playing well. They must think we don't check Basketball Reference.
I think the coach was pressured by her team to not take caitlin. so much hate has been thrown her way and envy is a sin. If i was a betting man i would bet it was the chick who is 42. She would be respected by her team enough to go along with her and the coach would also not want to piss her off

The US women's basketball team has taken over the US women's soccer team as the most hated. During the last Olympics, many Americans were hoping for the US women's soccer team to lose games because of their rotten attitudes. Once again, bad attitudes (though for a different reason), have many Americans rooting against their own team.
I haven’t watched 1 second of USA Women’s Olympic team! I will be watching Caitlyn Clark after the break. I could care less about all,of these other selfish egotistical snobs! Enough said!
Has anyone thought about Caitlin Clark being the floor manager when she plays because she sees more, she sees it faster and she outshoots almost everybody might have a problem with eleven Prima Donnas unwilling to follow her lead? It wouldn’t require very much Hate Caitlin attitude to tank the Olympics. Does anyone believe that a group of women could not be that petty?
I think the WNBA would be way better off if they welcomed Caitlin Clark with open arms instead of getting jealous and petty because she's getting more attention than most WNBA players. If people tune in to see Clark, they'll learn more about other players, become fans of them, and start following their careers as well. WNBA players have been complaining about a lack of interest for 20 years. Yet, the moment they start getting the attention they want, they're upset because it isn't exactly how they wanted it to happen. More attention means more respect, more fans, and more money for ALL WNBA players. Who cares how it happens? Rising tides lift all ships. The WNBA would benefit by remembering that. Just my opinion, anyway.
I won’t be watching any US women basketball games, as,a show of support, and hope many do the same. Not that we shouldn’t support the team, or if it’s the team fault, but a statement has to be made about the corruption and lack of justice, especially when it comes to coach Reeve who is clearly biased against CC for no reason at all except for refusing to accept her mistake in not seeing her greatness from the beginning while everyone else did….

The selection was made a month early, BEFORE Clark started showing her numbers, so it was not a fair evaluation of her. If they had waited until the deadline, she would have been a shoe in, but “someone” did not want her on the team. Arike Ogunbowale removed herself from the team before final selection for the SAME reason, so excuse me if I don’t support a corrupt system… I’ll be back to support those great players when they’re back on their WNBA respective teams, but for now, this is my way to show support. I’m not judging anyone watching them on TV, but I believe it’s the right thing to do to make a point, because ratings are important to the league as much as the players are, if not more, and by getting low viewer ratings, this is where the message gets across. This is not just about Caitlin Clark but about protesting bias and corruption, and I don’t think I’ll be missing anything; like I said, the best players were left behind, and players like Taurasi should not be on the team just because of their history and legendary status, they are past their prime, and the team should be represented by the best not by dissing others for spite. Everyone knows how much Reeve dislikes Clark and she never tried to hide it; Clark’s place on the team should be decided on merit not because of bias…You enjoy the games my friend, I’ll simply will be rooting for them while watching the highlights, same support, different ways… 😁✌🏻🇺🇸
Reese, Ogunbowale, and Clark should all be on the Olympic team. It's understandable now, why Ogunbowale took herself out of the consideration - "too political."
This whole thing is just mindboggling. They hate Clark because she is to WNBA what Neo was to the Matrix. She’s the one. She’s the one who’s being pulled up on stage during live concerts, has garnered comments from the NBA royalty, and piqued the interest of sports fans who never even gave women’s basketball a fleeting thought (sorry but it’s true), and has the skill to back it up. I am looking forward to the day when Taurasi is done. The WNBA did zero to go mainstream during her reign. It’s time for the new energy which is CC and the other young stars who were left off the Olympic team.
Never underestimate a woman's ability to hate on another woman who's better than her.
Work with almost all women, and seriously… no one hates women quite like other women. Given my work, most of my friends are women, and we’ve talked about this whole thing. Two of them were basketball players in high school and one in college. But they doesn’t watch or care about the WNBA. They says the NBA is far and away more entertaining, and that the drama that gets spun up with the WNBA about pay and how they interact with the NBA is, “super embarrassing.”
“This whole thing with Caitlin Clark is just super embarrassing as a woman… like, it’s all of our stereotypically worst behavior traits. Envy, pettiness, cattiness, and just shittiness! They’re the same girls who will go on and on about supporting women but they see one as more successful and better than they are… and prettier… they blow it all up and act like petty bitches and make the rest of look crazy…”

WILL WATCH Caitlin Clark WILL NOT WATCH usa team!!!
They chose the team members almost 2 weeks earlier than they did in 2021.
Great analysis! Great commentary! Well said!
Dawn Staley,Cheryl Reeve, and Jennifer Rizzoti, are the 3 women, who did not want Clark on the team.
Blah blah blah. Team USA is about more than popularity.
@@CamMehmen-hh8hn It smells of veterans getting respect. Is Booker the best guy at his position the men could have brought in? No. But he gets respect. It only gets complicated when you start looking for things to be mad about
@@I.am_Groot You're a part of the vicious cycle caught up in hatred, and being consumed by it.
@@CanopusJupiter 🤣 Not even close. I do appreciate your faux trauma response. Go find another Boogeyman the W doesn't need you ☑️
The women's team got what they wanted and are now unhappy because no one is watching them. What did they really expect to happen after Clark was snubbed? Everything she touches turns to gold. Huge mistake! Fire Staley and get a new head coach for the team. Their emotions have clouded their judgment.
How could she have played better when she was getting knocked down and facepalmed and slapped down and fouled and fouled and fouled and ignored. How was she supposed to play better when her team didn't even have her back until now. Don't say oh she wasn't playing on par when y'all purposely threw her under the bus to build "rivalries" to build publicity. They thought they were gonna snub her and it was gonna cause a furor and people would give a crap about team USA when they've left off the only player that 97% has ever even heard of.
Someone needs to look at Geno Auriemmo about his role on selection committee in rejecting CC. He may feel a certain way because he snubbed her for college as well.
The hype for the games would have been incredible , I would have something to be excited about , now it's like whatever, don't matter win or loose ,
I root for the USA, not just one player. Perhaps you don't understand it's a TEAM sport, not a cult of personality. Having said that I also love Clark's game and think she would have made a fine addition to the Olympic team.
@@mikecarr7164 Admit it.. You're obsessed with Caitlin Clark. 😉
She would be respected by her team enough to go along with her and the coach would also not want to piss her off
I'm not sure it was taurasi honestly. I think it was Reeve she is a radical activist and has made overtures that she thinks clark and her fans are racist.

@@CamMehmen-hh8hn Taurasi is running the show. i have seen nothing but hate from her towards caitlin and that is what she is saying in interviews. What is she like when the camera is not on?
Team USA also snubbed Angel Reese and she should also have been picked for our Olympic team. Caitlin and Angel have shown their power together. I admire both of them for their talent and skill.
Send Britney back to Russia and replace with Clark
All points really well layer out. Great video
Cost them a boat load of money not having Clark on the USA team...
Good. Happy to boycott old guard haters
Dawn should never coach for team usa again and never be the deciding factor for who goes on the team. This New gen vs the old guard BS needs to STOP 😒The women making this anything other than the best being played for the country is disgusting. Hating the new class because theyre the ones saving the WNBA is disgusting
She should have been picked over the 42 year old that looks winded after the 1st quarter. Not only is she a great player, but a nice person. She's had many opportunities to speak badly about others on the team and the coaches and has always tried to make it sound okay that she wasn't chosen.
That winded player is the Michael Jordan of women's basketball. You don't leave off the GOAT.
@@mikecarr7164 You be eating *menu,* instead of the Dinner. lol.
Diana should have never made the team over her. She was injured when the selection happened and at that point in time clark was still out performing her.

Hell hath no fury like a woman outshined ~ Haters gonna hate.
The coach has to resign her position... she's outdated, you pick the best of the best, even when you have the golden goose you try to kill it instead of getting the golden eggs... financially makes no sense, is like benching Jordan or Barkley, Ewing, Bird, Magic, Kobe, KD, just cause they will make money for you, or even bring recognition to the game.... that head coach is done, she should really resign or hang up her gloves, she's not fit to make money or make anything with the team or even to acknowledge whem she's wrong
The US women's basketball team has taken over the US women's soccer team as the most hated. During the last Olympics, many Americans were hoping for the US women's soccer team to lose games because of their rotten attitudes.
Once again, bad attitudes (though for a different reason), have many Americans rooting against their own team.
More people are watching Fever games than US Olympics games. So there's that.
Boycott B team in the Olympics
Don't watch. Your loss. If you're actually a basketball fan then you'll be missing the incredible games of Stewart and Wilson.
@@mikecarr7164 You mean the team who was blown out by a group of second bests? who were not good enough to be on the team?? Naaa don’t think I’ll be missing anything. I am from Las Vegas anyway, and Caitlin Clark is not on my team, but I know talent when I see it, and there should be no place for bias on the US team.
@@mikecarr7164 Yeah right... Goes well with the Paris Clown Show you so proudly support.. Smh.

@@beebeem5655 Ignorant comment
This whole thing is just mindboggling. They hate Clark because she is to WNBA what Neo was to the Matrix. She’s the one. She’s the one who’s being pulled up on stage during live concerts, has garnered comments from the NBA royalty, and piqued the interest of sports fans who never even gave women’s basketball a fleeting thought (sorry but it’s true), and has the skill to back it up. I am looking forward to the day when Taurasi is done. The WNBA did zero to go mainstream during her reign. It’s time for the new energy which is CC and the other young stars who were left off the Olympic team.
Its the USA B team that is playing in the womens basketball olympic event.
