It’s been 11 years since the last NCAA football game came out and the college football landscape has drastically changed. From NIL and transfer rules to conference realignment, things look a bit different than they did in 2014. But let’s talk about one of the most important additions to EA College Football 25 - the 9 new schools in the game.

I'm a Georgia Southern alumni, and I currently live 10 minutes away from Kennesaw State...I'll be using those 2 teams exclusively in dynasty

Also at least one school from NCAA 14 was removed. Idaho left the FBS for the FCS in,I think 2018.

Finally going to be able to play with Charlotte where I went to school. Had to play with teambuilder created Charlotte team in NCAA 14, but now we are going to rock with them from the start! Go 49ers!

I'm absolutely stoked for this as well! Charlotte, as a team, has struggled but has put out some good players in its 10 years of existence. I think local recruitment, if it's realistic in this game, which it looks that way; will be key.

Current Falcons kicker Younghoe Koo was also on the Georgia Southern roster for that game. He went 2 for 4 on extra points.
App St has been in the FBS for years now and was in NCAA 10, along with my Western Carolina Catamounts. While WCU is a FCS school in the SoCon, App St. Should already be a playable school when the gane launches
I do custom conferences and every year it changes like soccer. I have five premier conferences, and five feeders, separated regionally. The worst premier team gets demoted to the feeder, and the best feeder team fets promoted to the premier conference. Keeps things interesting. You can start in the Sun Belt... win your conference, and end up in the SEC all the sudden the next year, while the SEC worst team goes to the Sun Belt. Maybe that team will earn it's way back into the SEC, maybe not.
That's definitely a great way to keep it interesting. I'm guessing some of the service academies end up in the SEC?
@@lagsthegreek so NCAA 14 was the game I last did this with obviously, and I had Air Force in Mountain West, Army in MAC, and Navy in Conference USA to start. Mountain west fed Pac 12 at the time, Mac fed Big 10, and CUsa Fed the ACC. It's been a minute since playing but I am pretty sure none of the Academy's made it in the better conference. I had some feeder teams that were good go up and nearly win the better conference the next year, but when that good group of seniors left they fell hard. Some were back and forth every other year. It makes the last place teams have something to play for and it was fun to sim games one by one to see where they ended up.

@@jeradanderson42 I got the idea back when 2014 came out off the forums on Operation Sports. Quite a few people did it and loved it. Im playing a few seasons without touching anything, then starting over with my custom conferences.

Fun fact, Jacksonville State, JMU, Sam Houston, App State, and Georgia Southern are not making their debut, they appeared in NCAA 06 as I-AA schools, they appeared alongside Villanova Montana and a few others

The best part about this game is that all we will need to to is buy the game once, and we will be good for 6 years. lol
That said, I wouldn't be surprised if they do some updates for the next 2-3 years, before they try to put in Ultimate Team and turn it into a casino football game.

App state is such a fun school to use in dynasty. You get a crazy good team first year and you NEED to recruit like crazy to make it all happen
If you wanna take the easiest possible regular season: pick Liberty
Idk. All the other teams in their conference have pretty much similarly easy schedules plus the fact they have to play Liberty 😂
Pick Michigan
The best part about this is that App State, Georgia Southern, and JMU are all in the Sun Belt East so we get to play each other every year and renew some old FCS rivalries. As for my Dukes, it's going to be a crazy year for us since it's a complete reload/rebuild with so many new players and a new coaching staff, but Bob Chesney from Holy Cross is a very good coach. We went 19-5 our first two years in FBS and it's elevated the fanbase's expectations to the moon, and I don't know if the team can meet those right away...then again, JMU hasn't had a losing season in 20 years. We've always reloaded every time we've had a coach or top talent poached, so let's see what happens. The Belt is the most competitive G5 conference top to bottom, bar none.
I'd say the only worry is he's a northeast guy, gotta see how he handles the local recruiting
Sun Belt will 100% be a fun conference to keep track of through the year

Excited to use JMU. Y’all know those patriots drafting a Holy Cross player from the draft? The coach that made Holy Cross a dynasty in their conference is now in charge of JMU. A good hybrid run and deep throw mix type of offense would be an accurate representation of his offense. Would be super fun to use
I love both the JMU and App St programs. A natural rivalry is going to develop between them if it hasn’t started already. Both teams will be at the top of the Sun Belt most years (JMU lost a ton with their coach so maybe not next year), both teams transitioned “correctly” by being smart about it and meeting or exceeding their carefully crafted timetables (as opposed to schools like UMass that just jump up with no or aren’t ready at all), and both schools are out in some of the most beautiful mountainous geography in the western parts of their corresponding states.
With the new expanded tournament, there are going to be opportunities to see “football Cinderellas”though the “powers that be” *cough…money…cough* will likely try as always to do things like put an 8-4 A&M in over a smaller 11-1 school. But I would look for both of these schools to find a way in to the tourney in the next 5-10 years. Great programs to dynasty with.

JSU also beat LSU at LSU while one division 2 and played Auburn close multiple times.
Forgot about those Auburn games, JSU does have some history hanging with P5 programs

My favorite thing to do in these games is to play as a horrible team in dynasty mode and try to make them into a national championship contender. With NCAA 14 I did this with Georgia State and New Mexico State.

all ready talking about realistic, I DON'T WANT REALISTIC I WANT FUN PLAYABLE GAME!! the only thing that should matter is the game play and how easy it is to move and not be a glitch mess of a game. Basic is always the best way to go, when you add 10 different tackling animations guess what happens you get glitches and the game is a hot mess. One thing they need to fix is blocking, NCAA Football has always had HORRIBLE BLOCKING, unless you're playing the CPU than they are the perfect blocking team. Last game messed up the passing game so much you couldn't just throw a big throw down the field which you see all the time in College Football, NOPE if you throw it down the field 9 times out of 10 it was getting pick off. Last game made the secondary's to smart and robotic every team bad or good had like an Georgia/Alabama secondary. Corner no longer got beat and if they did the safety was always there you couldn't fool them or hold them, THAT WHY NCAA FOOTBALL 13 is way better than 14. So lets get rid of what ESPN thinks is realistic and just make a FUN PLAYABLE COLLEGE FOOTBALL FOR EVERYONE!
My friends went to Coastal Carolina I'm really excited to play with them I'm thinking about starting my Dynasty with them as a offensive coordinator

i mean not knocking a single guy not even the worst practice squad punter on the worst team in d-1, but imagine getting a phone call from rich rod. like hey, it's me. i took two national programs in ran them into the ground so far it took 2 decades for one to recover and the other still hasn't. come play ball for us.

I want the game to a basic fun game that is playable, More ways to catch the ball more ways to GLITCH!!! Lets just put in basic animations and basic plays, You know back in the day when the graphics weren't great we still enjoyed the game.

ODU is the newest FBS team in 14, none of these were in the base game. older NCAA games did have FCS teams, however.

Nobody will ever understand how excited I am to use JSU. My entire childhood was on that field. They used to leave all the field entrances open so me and my dad would go out there and throw and stuff multiple times a week. We’d even call the school and ask them to turn the lights on for us. This is hands down the first school I’m rebuilding in dynasty.
