Meet Bermuda: The ideal service dog for this US Air Force veteran

A U.S. Air Force veteran and Seattle resident is now teaming up with her service dog to achieve a new level of independence.
Bermuda is Stacee Glass’ service dog. Bermuda was specially trained to meet all of Stacee’s needs.
Holly Menino sat down with Stacee and Bermuda to learn more about America’s VetDogs.

That;s "canine" you civilians. When stationed with the U. S. Armys, 652nd Engrs. [Topo} on Ford Island that's located in the middle of Pearl Harbor , Ha"v"aii. The Navy and Marines nickname for us was "dogs".

Newly disabled I am soon to receive a service dog.
My comment here is just to bring up the fact that there are medically needed reasons for service dogs and these dogs are trained specifically for their needs.
This is not to be confused with "emotional support animals." To be able to bring an animal on a flight or in a store or in anywhere needs to be more strictly enforced.

Well actually, they whole process of getting an ESA(*emotional support animal) is from a PCP and most PCPs dont ask questions or look at mental history.
I got my cat as a ESA due to being homeless with her as a child and all- but shes just a normal little kitty and so brining her on a AirPlane(!!??) Is forcing the animal to need a ESA themselves.
I think getting a service animal is the same way you get a ESA but most PCps dont do that due diligence to make sure it was a competent call.
I could never imagine bringing a non-trained animal into unpredictable situations.
Shes been my emotional support cat since middle school (*went homeless in HS) but even though they said, you can bring your cat, i was declined for her health and my peers health.
Alot of kids had incontrol allergies to kitties.
But yeah, you cant nessecarly teach a cat or a dog for emotional tasks. This is why if its bad enough, they become service animals looking for a mental breakdown, like ptsd.
I have Ptsd but not to the point its triggered, its just shitty memories and a shitty mindset.
They are way to laxed on the procedures to give people ESA.
My pcp gave me a heart attack cause she said shell need to review my mental history to make sure its the right call..
(*she wasnt a good doctor, to much pride, so when she gave me meds that hurt me, she blamed me instead of hersel, but ey! She was right about how to give someone a ESA, her pride did good there)
