Being able to survive at the bottom of the ocean AND on regular land is a super badass power and then you factor the ability to communicate with all the fishes and jellies and shaaks and dorifin and wharu (and even a badass trident hand in some runs) Aquaman is hella underrated

It really feels like after DC was ceaselessly mocked for making Aquaman an absolute loser in the first few animated series, they went out of their way to make sure he's edgy and brooding in like, every single following incarnation to date.
Yeah which is strange considering normal blonde hair, orange suit aquaman can be badass without any of the brooding parts they add in, physically he’s at least equal to Wonder Woman but has an edge over her because of the power to control sea creatures and water which can be lethal if controlled the right way there’s a reason why hydro cutter exist, he doesn’t have the no kill rule, and politically he controls the most technologically advanced civilization that rules 70% of the earth there’re a lot they can do without revamping him

Didn't reach much of DC's comics growing up so this movie was a total surprise to me when I watched it ages ago. Loved it and it's still one of the best.
Being able to survive at the bottom of the ocean AND on regular land is a super badass power and then you factor the ability to communicate with all the fishes and jellies and shaaks and dorifin and wharu (and even a badass trident hand in some runs) Aquaman is hella underrated
Gotta love how both aqualads are fighting
Wouldn't it have been awesome to see Deathstroke fight in the end battle in the movie? That would have been a cooler death too, instead of the lame one that he could have easily avoided.
He may not have died due to his healing factor
@Xpgamer Jr Do they ever say that I'm assuming that he died anyway because even if he did live they probably sunk the ship so he probably drowned or got blown into pieces
I believe they deliberately gave such cool characters like Lex, Shazam, deathstroke tragic death so that audience can feel how tragic and fucked up this timeline is! It hit me right in the feels when i saw this film for the first time.
@@butterman8059 In the comics this was based on he survives, because he still has his healing powers. He wakes up some time later after the Atlanteans leave and then goes on to rescue his daughter Rose.
Death stroke was holding his own for a minute though
Having Aquaman's foes Ocean Master and Black Manta as his elite was golden . I could see that if they reformed in mainstream earth or alternate earth .
Kaldur, Garth, Tula, Black Manta, Orm, and Aquaman. Love it 🔥🔥
The ship is called Ravager...
Ghosteus haha been looking for The REAL RAVAGER for almost a minutes
This movie proves you should never underestimate Aquaman.
Super villain cameos everywhere :3
Skull Kizzle
see deathstroke true skill but cant fuck with black manta... and in the comics this is how it is
in the comics deathstroke has a healing factor.
Yeah in the comics Deathstroke can survive anything short of complete incineration, maybe. He has survived a nuke, several head shots, a vacuum, and hell itself.
+AMV Dragon In the comics, this fight never happened. Flashpoint Deathstroke never died, he went out here to find his daughter. One of the three villains you see on the ship, (Sonar, Icicle Jr., and Clayface) mutinied, and he was forced to kill him. They then left Atlantean waters.
+75lexluther Different universe different character, this deathstroke isn't the same of the regular universe
+Retsnom45 It's basically the same characters. Alternate universes are used so they can fight to the death....but not really be gone forever.
AquaMan always OP on everywhere but the main storyline LOL
It's pretty neat seeing Kaldur'ahm adapted to other DC media as a second Aqualad so quickly after his introduction in Young Justice.
...FANGIRL TIME! OMG IT'S GARTH, KALDUR, TULA,...AND IS THAT L'GAAN TOO! *squeals*
Chuck Greene *breaths slowly* okay I'm calm
^-^
thats not l'gaan, its ocean master
elrojojp ...*bangs head on wall* stupid
That's Orm I think not L'gaan
3:06 Jet didn't die in the catacombs. After he helped Team Avatar escape from Long Feng, he found solace with the Atlantians and joined their side.
Just watched the movie today and I was telling my friend that he looked like Jet.
You know its messed up when Aquaman and Black Manta have to team up against another force
3:37 pretty much the last words I’d expect from Luthor. I also find pretty funny that he is a lot more stable in a world without Superman
As dark as this was, Justice League Dark: Apokolips War somehow manages to exceed the gore and brutality of this movie. Nothing like seeing some fav characters murdered to leave you shook.
I never thought I'd ever see tempest(garth) and aqualad(kaldar) team up with ocean master(orm)
You forgot Tula (Aquagirl).
In 2:45, there is a mistake in the animation. Deathstroke's black side of the mask must be on the right, but in that moment, it is orange.
We're too focused in the movie but im glad you noticed that
Good eye
Doesn't Deathstroke have a healing factor? Pretty sure he can heal from that.
Oh plz
This is different timeline when batman becomes killer, cyborg working for government, hal never have a green lantern ring so why do u susprise the fact that deathstroke doesn’t have healing factor at this timeline
1:27 is that ... I realised just now...
The Atlantean already won the battle as soon as their giant most powerful sea vassals appeared. There weren't any need for a hand to hand fight with the naval ships.
i can't get over how cool Garth and Kaldur looks
That was the most epic last words I've ever heard! Gotta hand it to Lex Luthor for that awesome last liner..
Aquaman, Ocean Master, Black Manta, Aqualad, and the Atlantean Army is like an unfair super team
This would be a badass live action movie.Gal Got and Jason Momoa fighting it out on the big screen with there badass armies.
even cw's Deathstroke could survive that laser beam
Of course he could, the writing is trash. That laser would obliterate him. He destroys ships with it, a human body would be nothing to him.
@@themaster804 what dose a healing factor have to do with bad righting he could survive that he didnt look dead to me
@@killebee6183 from what I know his regeneration isn't instant, and even then, black manta's eye beams can destroy entire boats, deathstroke was screwed the second he got caught off guard
@@booquafolus it isnt instant but it dosent even look like theres a hole in dudes chest
@@themaster804 There is a possibilty that deathstrokes armor was upgraded. Not enough apparently
Garth and Kaldur are being badass in here. As a YJ fan, I'm in love. Also Tula!
This was the start of one of the best animated superhero movies ever, the action and gore is just that good as a starting point, not as intense as anime out there, but it's still very good
Strange how the ones without powers lived longer than the ones with powers
0:56
Is that the OG Slade from TT?????
Well in this movie he is voice by Ron perlman who also voice slade in teen titans 2003
Flashpoint paradox is one of the DC Universe things that made me love Deathstroke
Others are Young Justice, DC Rebirth Deathstroke comic, and Arkham Origins
I'm sorry, but who's the fucking genius that decided to go against Atlanteans on a boat?
They would have still lost and probably would of got Flooded.
3:15 - Funny thing is, Deathstroke would actually survive that.
+MinniMaster Yeah, and if he was gonna die at all, he would have gone out like a boss
+MinniMaster Naw. I'm sure they sunk the ship. Deathstoke is at the bottom of the ocean.
Unlikely considering it destroyed his heart the thing need to pump blood and nutrients used to build around the body so without it his brain would stop working.
But doesn't the human brain survive a couple of minutes after death?
HORSESNDOGS9 sure, but he doesn't heal that fast, a wound like that would surely kill deathstroke.
People tend to forget Aquaman can actually wipe out every living form outside the sea, but human race is lucky he kinda cares for them, but always more for atlanteans.
Chances are the dude that was hit by the barrel was the only survivor
I like how Deathstrokes ship is named Ravager, a little reference to his Daughters name.
DC animated movies are infinitely better than the DCEU and MCU. cheeky line but go on with the story, which is always coherently wriiten.
Sidenote, good to see Ron Pearlman voicing Slade Wilson again.
Lol Deathstroke with only a pistol thats cute. Deathstroke getting blasted by Black Manta? Fucking adorable.
+Andrew Pinkston Yeah, ikr? Clayface and Deathstroke died because they couldn't get through the plot armor.
Really hate when that happens.
+Andrew Pinkston I Know This Is Bullshit
And As Far as i know deathstroke can heal
he is the original version of deadpool
Yeah speed of light lasers at point blank are a bitch to dodge.
But he would have been able to predict it wouldn't he? He's done that with everyone he fights against.
HORSESNDOGS9 Even if you can predict it, if they are pointed at you and fired unless you can move faster than light speed there really isn't anything you can do.
I just realized how different Aquaman looks in here compared to throne of atlantis, i imagine its maybe different parents or something
Every Villains are hero's... and every Hero's are Villains.
Everyone have Two faces...
I watch this every 4 months or so
Black Manta, always awesome
Yup
I kinda feel let down that Deathstroke and Lex Luthor, 2 most dangerous villains in the main storyline, was nerfed in the Flashpoint timeline :/ I know Lex and Deathstroke should let Batman and Flash have the centre stage, but still not to be killed so easily and early
Im confused cause I thought Deathstrokes armor was made of the nth metal, so it shouldnt have been blasted through like that by Black Manta
Sad that nobody has commented about Vibe(Cisco Ramon) being in this scene
That's because it's almost definitely Sonar. The Atlantian army is made up of Atlantians and other characters associated with them, but the Ravager is Deathstroke's pirate ship consisting of mostly main universe villains... of which Vibe is not.
Plus, Sonar is part of Deathstroke's crew in the comics version of Flashpoint too.
Where
ANS 1:49
Isn’t he supposed to be mexican?
I realized when I played transformers fall of cybertron the voice of lex Luther voices shockwave and I think it’s Steve Blum if I remember he fits the characters rlly well
young justice designs: exist
flashpoint animators: it’s free real estate
I really loved death strokes performance in this it was so cool, totally lives up to his character in the comics
It really feels like after DC was ceaselessly mocked for making Aquaman an absolute loser in the first few animated series, they went out of their way to make sure he's edgy and brooding in like, every single following incarnation to date.
Yeah which is strange considering normal blonde hair, orange suit aquaman can be badass without any of the brooding parts they add in, physically he’s at least equal to Wonder Woman but has an edge over her because of the power to control sea creatures and water which can be lethal if controlled the right way there’s a reason why hydro cutter exist, he doesn’t have the no kill rule, and politically he controls the most technologically advanced civilization that rules 70% of the earth there’re a lot they can do without revamping him
Honestly, I'm a bit surprised _Superfriends_ never had him just use his fish mind-control on Cthulhu on a lark, what with how silly it was.
Deathstroke is supposed to be the strongest mercenary in the world to easily best anyone, but he was easily brought down by Black Manta's eye blast.
As much as I love the DC animated movies, little things like that really bug me. Orm taking the Justice league to town in the next animated universe, or Batman losing to Talon. Just frustrating
Some supervillains win because they have the high ground.
