      1. Focus on Christ
Christ is the fulfillment of the Old Testament symbols, including the Ark of the Covenant.
      Biblical Basis
Christ as the Presence of God: The Ark symbolized God's presence (Exodus 25:22), but in Christ, "the fullness of God was pleased to dwell" (Colossians 1:19). Jesus is Emmanuel, "God with us" (Matthew 1:23).
Christ as the Lawgiver: The Ark contained the tablets of the Law. Jesus, the Word made flesh (John 1:14), fulfills the Law perfectly (Matthew 5:17).
Christ as the Mediator: The Ark mediated God's covenant. Jesus is now the mediator of a better covenant (Hebrews 8:6).
      Corrective Teaching
Teach the Supremacy of Christ: Emphasize that Jesus is the ultimate revelation of God’s presence, rendering the Ark's symbolic role obsolete (Hebrews 1:1-3).
Disciple in Christ-Centered Worship: Guide believers to focus their worship on Christ, who "sat down at the right hand of the throne of God" (Hebrews 12:2).
Highlight Christ’s Finality: The Ark was a shadow, but Christ is the reality. He fulfills every aspect of what the Ark represented (Colossians 2:17).
      2. Emphasize Spiritual Worship
New Testament worship is not centered on physical objects or specific locations but is characterized by worshiping in spirit and truth.
      Biblical Basis
John 4:23-24: Jesus tells the Samaritan woman, "True worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks."
Acts 17:24-25: Paul teaches that God does not dwell in temples made by human hands.
Romans 12:1: Worship is presenting our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God.
      Corrective Teaching
Teach the Nature of True Worship: Worship is not tied to physical objects (like the Tabot) but flows from a transformed heart, guided by the Holy Spirit.
Encourage Faith Over Symbols: Explain that physical representations, while meaningful in the Old Testament, have been fulfilled in Christ and are no longer necessary for New Testament believers (2 Corinthians 5:7).
Promote a Heart-Centered Approach: Cultivate an understanding that true worship arises from inner devotion, aligning with God's truth as revealed in His Word.
      3. Teach the New Covenant
The New Covenant, established through Christ’s blood, replaces the Old Covenant and its associated symbols.
      Biblical Basis
Hebrews 10:1-10: The law and its sacrifices were "a shadow of the good things to come." Christ’s sacrifice once for all makes the old system obsolete.
Luke 22:20: Jesus declares, "This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."
Jeremiah 31:31-34 (fulfilled in Hebrews 8:8-13): God promised a new covenant where His law would be written on hearts, not tablets.
      Corrective Teaching
Explain the Obsolescence of the Old Covenant: Teach that the Old Covenant practices, including the Ark and the temple rituals, were fulfilled and set aside by the New Covenant (Hebrews 8:13).
Focus on the Sufficiency of Christ’s Sacrifice: Emphasize that Jesus’ sacrifice is perfect and complete, making any reliance on physical symbols unnecessary (Hebrews 10:14).
Encourage Covenant Understanding: Help believers grasp the shift from external rituals to internal transformation, where the Holy Spirit empowers worship and obedience (2 Corinthians 3:6).
      Practical Steps for Implementation
Bible Study Sessions: Organize teachings on the fulfillment of Old Testament symbols in Christ, focusing on Hebrews 8-10.
Shift Worship Practices: Gradually reduce the emphasis on physical symbols, replacing them with Christ-centered practices like prayer, Scripture reading, and the Lord's Supper.
Disciple Leaders: Equip church leaders with a solid theological foundation to teach the New Covenant and spiritual worship.
Encourage Personal Relationship with Christ: Emphasize personal devotion and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit as the believer's connection to God.
      Conclusion
Correcting the theological mistakes surrounding the use of the Tabot involves redirecting worship from Old Testament symbols to the reality of Christ's fulfillment. By focusing on Christ, emphasizing spiritual worship, and teaching the New Covenant, believers can align their practices with the New Testament's teachings and experience the fullness of life in Christ.

Yeah every church has unique traditions they keep. E.g. the Syrian church still has deaconesses! The Ethiopian and Eritrean churches have the heritage of the Mosaic law so we preserve these things, not just for ourselves but for the whole world. That diversity of ways to worship God is the beauty of the church

“And when you have multiplied and been fruitful in the land, in those days, declares the Lord, they shall no more say, “The ark of the covenant of the Lord.” It shall not come to mind or be remembered or missed; it shall not be made again.”
    ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬ ‭
We are not supposed to make the tabot, God no longer dwell on anything only in human heart, therefore no point of having a tabot. As a Christian we are under the new covenant that is Christ.

Please our brother near the holy Orthodox tewahdo church and ask every thing what you want to understand. because there no thing to do with out the command of God and the holy book in old and new testaments because the first holy oriental churches directed only our God holy spirit and nothing add that come from there own mind and this world knowledge. Because the head of the holy Orthodox tewahdo church is our God and lord Jesus christ.

I have a question. How could the true ark have been brought to Ethiopia around the time of the reign of Solomon, when the prophets speak of the ark in Jerusalem as if it were still the true one, upon which God's presence dwells? For instance, Ezekiel's vision of the divine glory leaving the temple.
There is also 2 Maccabees (of the Catholic, Eastern Orthodox and other Oriental Orthodox churches) which claims that Jeremiah hid the ark before Jerusalem got sacked, and this is why it went missing.

Within the Ethiopian church, who has the authority to create the new tabots for consecrating a new church? I imagine it must be a special kind of artisan. Genuinely curious about who has the job of crafting tabots.

When exactly was the tabot tradition introduced to orthodox tewahdo church.......as I heard it from different sources, the myth of tabot was introduced in the 12th century by Solomonian dynasty to legitimize their ascendancy to power claiming they are the descendant of king Solomon and falsely claiming they inherited the tabot from king Solomon.

I have a question, in one of your earlier videos you said no matter who you are you are one with Christ when you are in the church, does the same count for LGBTQ and will God except you into heaven if you are part of it or support it?

Hello, I know this is an old comment but if you are still wondering, in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 it states that those who are unrighteous will not go to heaven. Here are the verses:
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor HOMOSEXUALS, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”
      ‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
(I put “homosexual” in full caps so you could see it easier)
Simply put, someone in the LGBTQ community would not go to heaven. Of course, that does not mean God hates them. Homosexuality is a sin because God made man (Adam) and woman (Eve) to be together in marriage, not man and man or woman and woman.
Also, since God hates sin because it is evil, even if you aren’t doing the sin yourself, you shouldn’t support it. BUT, do not hate those in the LGBTQ community. Love others as Jesus Christ said (John 15:12).

The intention that you are traying to support your claim by so many unrelated and inconsistent evidences shows that you have failed to present a single sufficient valid reason for your claims. Know the truth, the truth will set you free.
