@@JDris08 how are you going to say "they were not black" and then say "they were both". The originators of country were predominantly Black and also poor white folks. Of course, the Black element is monumental because we've come to a place where Black history has been erased from country, but similar to Rock, there would be no country without the Black influence. Everyone's been talking about this "country Beyonce song" and being the big country fan that i am, i just had to here it. Hopefully this will make other's understand that country music isn't just about drinking beer and driving trucks. Almost 90% of country music has real meaning so of course people in today's age wouldn't understand and relate because they have no depth and no will to give it a chance. It's a good song but it's absolutely not a country song... You can't just throw random country like instrumentals on top of what is clearly an R&B song and call it country. Just cuz you put on a cowboy hat doesn't make it country. Instrumentals in the vocals do not match at all. I would love to hear this song without the instrumentals that they paired with it because I actually do love her voice and singing of this song.
@@tinamarie1894 true not country music. Seems a lot these days is getting the country music tag when it may only have a tiny bit of country music influence. Much of that is marketing. But people who respect the music and history and who made it great, make music that has country music influence and do not use marketing gimmicks to sell it or perform it or call it country music. There is a certain amount of respect coming from the artists.
You can just see her writing this on tour. 16 Busses filled with her bamd and members of the tour. Helping carry her dream. A true country song. Hope, love, loss, sacrifice all woven beautifully.

@@offjoe22 yesss, I think that’s it too. In the beginning her dad was her manager-although he had managed acts before, he needed to get an act to sustain his family. “I saw Mama prayin’ and daddy grindin’..” They got what they wanted with Destiny’s Child-number one records and hit albums. Then even more when Beyoncé went solo. So she worked hard and sacrificed A LOT of her life for her music and to take care of her family, essentially. When Beyoncé got paid-so did her family. “I saw Mama cryin’ and I saw Daddy Lyin’…” And while she was working, performing, making music-she missed out on being with her family while slowly watching her family fall apart. You gotta keep in mind, Beyoncé and her Dad was on the road together, so I’m sure she saw him doing things that she shouldn’t have saw while simultaneously watching her mama cry from being hurt from it all….

No. The originators were not Black. Nor were they white. The were both, together, at the same time. Country music is a syncretic music
Way wrong answer...@@JDris08
@@JDris08 how are you going to say "they were not black" and then say "they were both". The originators of country were predominantly Black and also poor white folks. Of course, the Black element is monumental because we've come to a place where Black history has been erased from country, but similar to Rock, there would be no country without the Black influence. That's the key here.
@@JDris08They were Black! In fact the Banjo was created by an African slave! Save your BS stories for people who actually believe in American History! 😂😂😂😂
Please no one is believing that white washed shiit!! And trust me I am not against white people at all. But the TRUTH is more important!

This song should be a door that will hopefully change some minds on what good music really is! ♥️👏🏻

Didn’t she sing daddy grinding?
@@JacquelineausdemPottin the beginning she said daddy grind because her father was her manager in the early stages of her career, the last verse she says something about crying i think because her dad stole money from her and she had to fire him plus he cheated on their mom. @@offjoe22when did he steal money from her? 🤔
God bless You
@@offjoe22 yesss, I think that’s it too.
In the beginning her dad was her manager-although he had managed acts before, he needed to get an act to sustain his family.
“I saw Mama prayin’ and daddy grindin’..”
They got what they wanted with Destiny’s Child-number one records and hit albums.
Then even more when Beyoncé went solo.
So she worked hard and sacrificed A LOT of her life for her music and to take care of her family, essentially. When Beyoncé got paid-so did her family.
“I saw Mama cryin’ and I saw Daddy Lyin’…”
And while she was working, performing, making music-she missed out on being with her family while slowly watching her family fall apart.
You gotta keep in mind, Beyoncé and her Dad was on the road together, so I’m sure she saw him doing things that she shouldn’t have saw while simultaneously watching her mama cry from being hurt from it all….
