Sounds like a bug in the game if you have checked your monster fish section and it’s not there that is the only place it will be unless you have mistakenly already completed the mission with a friend. I know when the map came out my exploration mission section was missing until they updated the game it came back. Question what platform do you play on? and sorry I don’t have a fix for it but I will ask around and see
