I don’t have the ocean map yet, but I’ve noticed some sound bugs too with my reel. Just makes the game feel a little less immersive when you can’t hear the drag.
First off don’t take your yacht to kaji. You need to rent the broken boat but if you bring your yacht you cannot rent the boat. Secondly you need to do the maintenance missions to fix the rental boat as the map and fish finders on the boat are broken. There are 15 missions to complete and most are pretty easy. Once you have completed the missions not only will your rental boat have all the equipment working properly ( except the front windows will always be dirty ) , your tablet also gets upgraded to show more information that you are asking about. You just bought the wrong tablet mate, you have the cheap one lol. I never seen any lines on mine either ( i like the cheap one lol ). Just kidding, you need to do the missions with the harbormaster, that way you can "upgrade" your tablet and you will have your lines. I can not tell you if that is correct, i have to do these missions as well to find out. good luck mate.

why isn't my caracther holding the hand on the front grip when i have a huge fish(i have had unique nile perch and it still held the rod with the tumb on the reel)

You have to do the quest from the NPC on the starting dock area. You find standing next to a SUV. completing the quest will update your tablet.

You have to stop reeling in when the fish is taking line. By continuing to reel in you help the fish get away twice as fast.
