Your description of the piston rod manufacturing process was pure gold and is exactly why you mark each rod and cap to put back in exactly as it came out. Thank you.

Thank you for the video. It was very informative! Looking forward to more videos of yours. Could you make a video where you finish assembling the whole block?

Thank you! I have an older video of a 4 tec build and will be doing one on the 300 motor soon.

Great video. Thank you. I have 1100hrs on my seadoo 155. If I were to rebuild my engine would I need to bore it out? Or are new rings+bearings all that's needed? It runs pretty good currently but I haven't tested compression in awhile.

Thanks. That's something that isn't determined until it's all taken apart and measured for specifications as per the service manual. Also checking the condition of things.

what parts manufacture do you use to rebuild 4-tec engine? timing chain, rings , and or piston and rings, gasket set, etc. At this time until I get block back from machine shop , looks like I am reusing old pistons. Factory head gasket?

Hi generally use oem parts. Sometimes I will use an aftermarket part if a factory is unavailable or if I think it's better for a certain application.

What's the process to resleeve? My rxt300 engine has blow-by, when I took the head off Side wall plasma coating has wear.. My ski has lots of mods, cams and 23 Supercharger wheel.

Either you have to get a new replacement block from seadoo, find a place that will re plasma coat it (I have been unsuccessful finding someone and a reasonable price), or have the plasma machined out and some of the cast aluminum machined out to accept sleeves. Machining and sleeving the plasma block is not cheap. Obviously there is a lot more than just slapping sleeves in. Machining, cleaning, heating block (properly), freezing sleeves, installing sleeves, decking, boring, honing, building the short block, new pistons, measuring, etc..

What way does the taper ring set?

Mark on the rings facing up. I go over this in the video.

@@Toyman-rj9vy there is a picture in the service manual showing the orientation. Doesn't look like I can upload a picture to a comment.
