Hopefully we get ranking/score for constructors not just individual drivers next year.
And bring back team social media too 🎉
@@AdamMarr seconded
What do you mean by ranking/score for constructors? Thanks.
@@buckeyeoneI think possibly that during Driver Ratings, Tommy & Matt do a “Constructors Score” where they give a score for each constructor based on strategy, Pit stop time, and overall ratings of a “team” for the weekend.
Yes please
You can really tell just how much Leclerc loves Ferrari. Man was willing to risk losing out on P2(should any mistakes happen after letting Perez through) just to help the team, and came up with this plan completely unprompted in the middle of the race
Risking P2 would have meant backing up George and maybe finishing 5.01 behind Checo… and he specifically told George in cooldown that he wasn’t risking cutting it that close
@@greenlantern7959 ehh fair but like
We know what happens when Ferrari tries to do fancy strategy calls😅
Matt: We will never see a season that dominant agai
Verstapping looking at the 2024 calendar: Hold my beer mate.
Charles had something to lose, at the beginning of the race, and Max didn't. That's what dictated his attitude.
Max was going for the 1000 laps led, to please his engineer. He had also something to lose. Besides the wins streak and the 19th win.
@@Eric-rf1isBut those are wikipedia strats he already had both champiosnhips secured.
Yeah that's not true. Both want to win, but Ferrari can't keep up with the RB in the race. Leclerc knew this, he didn't want to mess up his tires and then risk losing out to Mercedes. That's literally what they said in the press conference.
@@georgemaraslis8558 If YOU think Max doesn't had anything to lose, doesn't mean HE thinks the same..........
19 wins in a season. Won't ever be replicated unless RB nail the car again next year and Max wins 20+
Yes it will dope
@@johnnychimpo7539not for a long time. Redbulls development will taper off as the other teams find more substantial gains and they meet the ceiling of their concept development. Plus these are the most stable engines due to the engine freeze, 2026 were going to see more unreliability as they bed in new engine regs. This consistency won't happen for a long time again if ever.
Please lord no, I hope next year Ferrari and McLaren are truly competitive as a Max fan I prefer him to win in a hard fight. Besides Charles Lando and Piastri should win a race one day 😅
As insane as this season was, if they can top even that - it will be absolutely insane. Really hope Ferrari find back to real competitiveness and McLaren being able to keep continuing that upward trend.

Ik this is 7 hours after the podcast came out but I am a complete different Timezone from Matt and tommy as I am located in Oceana (think New Zealand or Australia) and these men are located in the UK so they put it out when I am asleep and I have to do the timestamps when I’m getting ready for work, so sorry it’s late
It only I saw this before finishing the episode😭
Abu Dhabi was very similar to las Vegas. Leclerc on mediums was better than red bull but red bull on hards was literally flying
in Vegas it was a real pace issue though, here it was Max managing a bit too much.
do not agree. Max was managing heavily in the yellow tyres because Red Bulls was thinking of one stop. Max could push and would have been further ahead even in the yellows. Red Bulls also wanted to get the 1000 laps leading the race record for Max. Thus they want to extend the first stint as long as possible. If Max pits first, he will lose the lead for a couple of laps.
Imagine going back in time to race 1 in Bahrain and telling tommy that Yuki would lead almost double the laps that Fernando would this year 😂💀💀💀
In a hypothetical scenario where Yuki got P7, Williams would be 1 point ahead.. And you know where Williams scored that 1 extra point?
LOGAN SEARGANNNNNTTTTTTT🎉😂
GOAT
that made me LOL
WTF IS A KILOMETER 🦅🦅
Matt's "pain" act is getting a tad old by now. Will unsubscribe if that drags on and on next season. Do not want to but, come on dude.
Even without that point Williams would of won the tie. So even in your fantasy Logan is irrelevant
Matt, Tommy: thank you for an excellent and entertaining season. I have loved every moment of content, and I'm looking forward to all of the seasons to come.
Cheers mates, may your channel forever grow 🍻
Go change your tampon
According to Palmer and Fittipaldi "Checo-Lando" was racing incident!!
Thank you for you your commentary lads, amazing to think this is a "new" channel. You guys are by far and away the best podcast, funny and incisive to the last. Also I swear they didn't pay me to say that, although I'm game to be bribed
Excellent reviews and details by you both. Looking forward to new season opener again with you guys.
Woo hoo 🎉 final episode of the year. Love you guys!
We love you guys. Keep it going!
You’ll are great! Thank you for the highs, lows, laughs and insights!
Just want to point out that Kmag was driving the new spec car to gather data on why it isn't working, in order to help with next years car development. It was utterly destroying even the hard tires, which is why he had to pit much earlier. Hülkenberg went back to the old spec car(before Las Vegas I think) which they knew much better. That was a huge influence to why Kmag was so far back all of a sudden.
Thanks so much for all your podcasts!
Guys, thank you for the whole season spent together. It has been fun, in more cases than not, the podcast has been better than the race in review .... So a great job by you guys and my best wishes to the both of you.
My full season as a new fan. As Leclerc fan it's def been some pain, but I'm so glad that I found F1 and you guys. It's so nice having something to look forward to like this, and before and after every race I always look forward to you guys podcast and videos talking about it. Brightens my year a lot. Thanks for all the work you put in, and I look forward to the next season of F1 where Leclerc will take the championship...
I was so mad at the replays at the start of this race. Why have ten replays of a start where nothing actually happened?
Thanks Matt and Tommy. You’ve offered rhetoric best podcasts throughout this season. Keep it up next year👍🏻
Well Done P1, Enjoyed F1 with You Guys ..
Awesome podcast guys, hopefully 2024 will be more competitive for the driver's title
I don’t think it’s worth a penalty but I think one of the main problems is how inconsistent the FIA are. They have not given penalties for worse
He was left far more than a car's width and still rammed in to Norris, that is the definition of causing a collision.
Perez is an idiot!! He hasn't learn from Brasil !!! To overtake in that turn, means Lando have the chance to overtake him in the next DRS-zone!!! Same as Brasil!!!
yeah you are absolutely right I just want some consistency and possibly look over some of the rules because some of them are very vauge
@@TheDornado Perez left more than a cars width on the outside
@patrykg1816 Norris was ahead at the braking zone so it is his corner so he is entitled to the racing line, Perez was not. Norris was nice by leaving him room, he didn't even have to do that.
Dutchie here. We would gladly make Tommy a honorary Dutchie.

Thnx for the content this year. Are we going to get a drivers season review ratings to sum them all up?
im gonna miss the streamsss so mutcchh!
Loved watching you guys this season!! Congrats on your banger first effort and excited to see how you make it even better next season. Cheers boys! 👏
Alonso remains my favorite. Lewis' focus and consistency over almost a decade is legendary. However, Max has the virtuoso.
Max's delivery is unreal.
Congrats on year 1, gents. Genuinely great content all year! Matt if you could not curse Riccardo and Alpine (to be fair Alpine don't need any fuckin help on that score) next year I'd greatly appreciate it, good man, yourself. 👍
I’m going to pretend like I haven’t been checking your channel constantly since yesterday waiting for this video! 😂 perfect way to spend my lunch break, love the content guys!!
Save yourself the stress and hit the bell notofication .🔔😁
Matt n Tommy were valedictorians at the Massey Culinary institute.
Excellent cooking guys cant wait for next year with Hopefully revised graphics to keep track of the ccoking. Coz we need to track Matts flop prediction powers, no. of safe predictions used to catch up, no. of times screwderia screwed etc.
Thank you 🙏🏽 Tommy for being the voice of reason 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽❤️❤️❤️
I laughed out hard when Tommy anounced his crazy prediction.
What Max & RB achieved this year, was 100% the best season for a driver ever. He worked for it & proved his dominance. It was beautiful. Charles is a brilliant driver, he just needs to be more aggressive like Max, Nando & Lewis etc. That's why they're champions. They didn't win because they're polite on track. The Checo incident definitely wasn't a penalty. I saw it was a racing incident.
zero DNF DNS and has completed every single lap of 2023 racing calendar. Red Bulls has done a miraculously job to keep Max's car as reliable as a rock.
Congratulations on a great 1st year 🎉
The scenario play out of the crazy prediction deciding the championship was like Matt being Verstappen in the 2021 Baku GP followed immediately by Tommy being Hamilton plowing through on brake magic.
Definitely need a graphic for the predictions, it's a must!
Can you please please please do a compilation video of all Matt's reactions to Ferrari's "Short comings" over the last season. We need entertainment between now and pre season testing. 🙏
I'm so gald you two started P1, its been a blast
That was a race that could've been an email.
Best F1 podcast together with the Engine Breaking podcast
2023: when the reason I loved Alonso (fierce challenger to a dominant Schumi) briefly echoed to the present when he gave Max a go at Monaco quali. Still my favorite, back to hoping he and AM can win even once in 24
Thanks for the great content, gentlemen - enhanced the season and look forward to more in the new year!
9:16 matt doing his best impression of toto wolff at vegas
Im just wishing that next year we get Mercedes, mclaren, ferrari, red bull and aston all going for the championship. Would be such an amazing season if that happens
Charles didn't really want to pass Max. He said things to that effect afterwards.
i tracked down that paul aaron finished exactly 22nd in the abu dhabi race in F2 so they just copied it over but forgot to properly edit it.
Been a great season. Hopefully the next one will have less Matt suffering.
Food for thought: with sprints (6 x 8), fastest lap (22 x 1) and race wins (22 x 25) you can get a total of 620 points during this season. Max scored 575 (92.7% of total points available), perez scored 285 (46.0%). And people think it's just the car...
That's because Checo is not a top tier driver. People are gonna keep saying this until RB get a lando, fernando, leclerc in the other seat.
@qlmotorsport3026 Lando lmao
He's doing what drivers like Gasly, Perez, Bottas had already done in a midfield car lol
He doesn't have ANY wins while his teammates have one a race each in the same machinery. Till the time he doesn't get into a top car, sit down.
@@devashishrakshit1 if you can't tell lando is one of the best drivers on the grid, please stfu. you clearly don't understand how the engineering side of the sport differs from the drivers. let's not forget the spanking he put on ricciardo in the same machine, something verstappen didn't even manage. but you'll probably just google results and see ricciardo won a race in the mclaren and lando didn't, and think that's proof.
@@qlmotorsport3026 Nobody would have challenged Max in that RB19. Too difficult to drive for most of them and Max too consistent for all of them. There is also a reason why Lando declined a RB seat, don't you think?
@@Eric-rf1isso some drivers like a pushier car (ham, nando, checo) and some prefer a pointier car (ver, lec, ric). lando's been noted as one of the most versatile drivers. it's just impossible to say, but I do know that all of those top tier drivers would put 2-3 tenths per lap on checo is race pace, which is more or less what ver did.
Tommy on the money for his pick of Yuki Tsunoda for surprising driver.
Tommy wakes up every morning to the Dutch national playing on his alarm clock 😂
Charles was thinking about p2 in championship, didnt want to push Max wide and get 5 second penatly or worse becasue then the championship would of been over so Charles was thinking of the end result, If P2 wasgaranteed then I think Charles would of gone abit more riskier.
Max knows a 5 second penatly isnt a issue for him or redbull as proved last race so Max knows he can go for it if it was other way around
Absolutely - nothing to lose for Max and everything to lose for Ferrari
Thank you for your guys' content this year. You guys are my go to F1 TH-camrs and I look forward to following you in 2024!

I really like those Race Replays in F1 Manager 23 😀
I was able to get Yuki on P2 (M, H, H) and Daniel on P8 (S, H, M) on Standard difficulty, both on a 2 stop strategy.
Franz Tost wasn't happy on his last day 😞
I only watch for Matt's Ferrari pain... haha!
Seriously, though, you guys are a lot of fun...
Thanks guys, for a great season with your videos, even if we were not always off the same opinion.
I was really upset with the 5 sec penalty of Perez, it felt like a gift by FIA for Mercedes ……. It was a ridiculous penalty, if you look at all the same altercations this year. Ferrari got screwed over here. Furthermore Lewis ruined Gasly’s race by driving into the Alpine’s rear, and he got nothing at all.
33:23 i'm crying this was so funny
Pirelli Trophy: p1 with the fast upload
Checo literally said he was out of control going into the corner, how in the world does that not mean he deserves a penalty? He admitted to making a mistake lol, Lando even said he was letting him by and gave him more than enough room to pass and he still ran into Lando.
Checo is CONSTANTLY running into drivers and blaming them. He's turned into the new George "he turned into me." Checo was absolutely terrible this season, which goes to show how shockingly good the RedBull was this season considering he still got p2. He deserved like p6.
I absolutely have to applaud both of you for your perspective on the performance of Max this year, thank you so much for that. Hope a lot of Max haters will learn fromit.
On another note: Gonna miss these pré and post race podcasts but looking forward to next year with you both :-) ! Have amazing live shows in december and happy holidays!
Great season of commenting and opinions (and Ferrari heartbreak) ... Keep it up, loving it.
Carlos wasn’t excellent this weekend but during the 1st stint he was on the radio telling that the hards were not working and he was told to lift and coast for a significant amount of time
They were probably targeting 1 stop for him, so he was told to save his tyres. After that they probably changed their minds to a 2 stopper and yeah that ruined what was already a bad weekend
And I’m so glad you said the RB 19 wasn’t faster then the Mercedes or the old Ferraris
With Sainz, they should have put on mediums & plan a 10 lap soft stint at the end or taken any vsc/sc to move to hards if it was earlier
I think the donut at the end sums up Max his season
Great episode! But what about the TV director missing several moments in the race? Anyone else notice?
Next year, you could ask a guest public figure to send their predictions over as well and have a three competitors "Matt, Tommy and Guests". Kind of how they do at Thogden for football
Well done love your podcast every race 👏🏻😁
Imagine tommys crazy prediction being sainz no point/sainz retiring ending on even keel
You guys should do a video showing what the standings would be if Red Bull didn't exist
Lewis wins by 2 points ahead of Alonso. Someone already did it on reddit.
how do you submit questions to be answered by the guys?
Unbelievable how you ended up so close in points after all those predictions.
Would be good to rank quali and GP separately next year
Charl said that he can't fight for the win so it's not worth ruining his car
Ferrari should have put Sainz on an all-or-nothing strategy and let him start on softs and let him go just 8 to 10 laps with it, then pit early on hards and see what happens before putting him on mediums near the end. Then it would at least have felt like they had tried.
Can’t believe Frank didn’t make an appearance. Anyway, great job this season.
P1 boys the real champions of the 2023 F1 season 🎉
What surprises me the most that he was handed also a 2 points penalty together with the 5 second penalty, the 5 seconds are debatable, but the 2 penalty points don't make sense at all.
Everyone at Ferrari was trying not to lose 2nd place in the Constructors instead of trying to win it, everyone except Leclerc. And Leclerc almost did alone if it wasn't for the Perez penalty.
I think the practice accident, coming after the Vegas accident, affected Carlos. But what he and Ferrari had to do was drive the race, and they probably would have beaten Mercedes.
Idk why but hearing Tommy say “that Paul Aaron guy” hurt, maybe because I’m a f3 prema fan idk lmao
I think another great example of "It's Max and not the car" is the fact that the two rookies weren't even in the top 10 of fp1 where Felipe Drugovich was P2 in an Aston Martin.
Same tyre?
@@Vaidulis I believe so. But I honestly can't remember 🤣🤣. Either way though everyone acts like the Red Bull is the most dominant car to ever be in F1 and I think that the rookies not being in the top 10 regardless of whether they were on softs or mediums shows it's not as simple as the car is crazy fast, and more that max knows how to get the most out if that car.
@@The_Hooded_Scribe stats show everyone is right.
@@Vaidulis they literally don't though 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Which is exactly what I am highlighting in my comment. If the car was that fast and dominant why was checco not second in every race? And why weren't the rookies in the top 10 of fp 1?
@@The_Hooded_Scribe Checo is washed and RB is one pilot team. Sad but true.
Hey guys just want to thank you for your coverage. I know you both have favourite drivers, but I never feel you are biased in your coverage of each race. Pleasure to watch after every race :)
"Albon enters the room"
A very fine first season for you! But still missing the social media team championship...
Thank you for this channel! I unsubscribed from wtf1 and subscribed to this channel the second it went live.
Are you guys also gonna count the prediction before the season started?
Charles said in an interview that his fight was with the Mercedes and he knew that Max would have passed him anyway, so he preferred to look after his tires.
omg can we get a banger for final race? I hope they put Interlagos as final race for next year
Yes, please have a leader board 👍🏼
Max: I made sandwiches, want one?
Me: Man hungry! Jeez man, epic sandwich, delicious bro! What's the sticky stuff?
Max: GOAT's cheese, why?
29:45 for Matt & Tommy's Prediction results!
Fred blamed Carlos saying he had no pace, and alsomLeclerc, saying he was not aggressive enough. It sounds like Fred is happy to throw the drivers under the bus to pander to the Tifosi
It was interesting that Vasseur didn't make more again of a comment he made earlier - the Ferrari was so up against the cost cap with the Vegas damage that they couldn't afford to put the best parts on the car. Basically they cobbled it together from older parts - no wonder that Carlos DNFd on the last lap due to power unit issues (although he was ranked 18th as it was the last lap). There was much more to it than Carlos driving like a snail or hard tyre problems.
The trophy for the predictions championship should be a crystal ball
7:30 - 9:20 is spot on!
Crazy theory - Ferrari actualy didn't want P2, that's why they didn't communicate the strategy Leclerc came up with (I actually noticed that it was possibility couple laps before Leclerc said that on radio and was wondering how long would it take for Ferrari to figure it out or if at all, was really excited when Leclerc came up with it), and that is also why they left Sainz out on hards they were gathering data to figure out why they are so slow on them for next season. Just a theory from a Ferrari fan whos overdosed on copium xD
I wonder if Matt’s visit to Sweden was anything to do with a Spotify deal? 🤔
