Hi John, that was a absolutely outstanding build for your first bike kit, I look forward to more bike builds in the near future, I have Tamiya's 1/9th scale (I think) Harley Police bike to build one day, sadly at 67yo my bike riding days are over, but I can dream, bedt regards from Australia 👍👍👍👍
Hi John! I've just been going through some of your older videos and this really sparked my interest! I have never built a bike but I want to now! and oh you did a superb job on this! Thank you. (Edit: I've just bought a motorbike and it's your fault! haha)
Thank you for watching! Totally understand, I'm a 35th/24th builder as well. I found the experience quite positive, my first 1/12. I have old eyes and hands! Be well and have a nice weekend
Dear John, I think that looks like it turned out very nicely. I wondered for a time why you included Pat Mustard, but I suspect that it was the oversized tweezers? Anyway, I like the unexpected guest appearances in your videos... Very good!! Regards, Z
Hehe! Thanks for watching Zinzan. Bit more low brow than that. I thought about adding the scene from Pink Panther Strikes Again with the assassin's needles coming out the blouse front, but decided against it. I'm easily amused. Have a great day buddy.
That looks crazy good, i really wanna start this build, you think i could get a result this clean by using tamiya SPRAY paints? I don't wanna spend much money on really fancy painting tools
Thank you so much for watching. Absolutely you can do the blacks and blues with spray cans. They may even have that Racing Blue in a rattle can. I'm just not good with them I can't control the amount I spray on very well. It's a fabulous kit highly recommended to build. Cheers
Thanks M Sz - appreciate you watching. Did I not prime something? I haven't watched the video since it went out. I usually prime everything in Mr Surfacer 1500. If I missed a part that was a fluke, I try to prime always. Cheers!
@@johnalecsscalemodeling Sorry for the mistake. I thought that in the instructions the rims should be painted black after primer and then Racing blue. So I thought you left out the primer.
No worries buddy! That's a good shout I missed about putting the Racing Blue over gloss black, I put it over the primer. That might have made it pop more. Thanks for the note. Cheers @@msz6510
Tamiya produces high quality, great fitting realistic looking motorcycles and yours came out beautiful 😊
Thank you very much David! I have to restrain myself from starting another one, LOL. Cheers
Nice work John, looks great, very good for your first bike build.
Thank you John, much appreciated thanks for watching.
Hi John, Your motorcycle really turned out nice. This bike really looks futuristic. Thanks for sharing. Have a great day. Jeff
Thank you Jeff for watching I appreciate it. I much prefer the look of a cruiser. Be well

Thank you Les! That should be a cool build, an iconic bike. I only rode briefly, in high school, it was a Hondamatic 400. Take care buddy
Great Build John, thanks for sharing.
WOW - thank you Paul that is generous I appreciate that and you watching. Be well!

You can blame me! It was a massive mojo build. They fall together and fairly simple to paint and prep. Cheers!
Came out great ! Interesting kit and something new....
Thank you buddy! Appreciate you watching - cheers
Very nice build! The only thing stopping me buy a motorcycle kit is another scale, I tend to have 1/35 and 1/24 scale kits.

Nice work

@@johnalecsscalemodeling watching your video inspired me to buy a model bike kit and build one. Hope it’s as nice as yours.
Cool 👍
Thank you mate, appreciate you watching!
What tool did you use to drill through the front and rear brake discs?
Just a small drill bit, in a hand held pin vice. I don't remember what the size was, just tried to match it to the depression. Cheers
Hi I'm from southern Asia, Malaysia
Very nice, thank you for saying hello and cheers to Malaysia.
Hi John, what type and brand of glue you have used to stick the parts?
Thank you for watching! Tamiya extra thin mostly. Formula 560 for clear parts. CA glue was VMS if I used any. Cheers!

Great video. Thank you. Why you do not use primer for all parts?

does the suspension bounce a bit when you press the bike?
Yes a little, it does. That may be a factor of getting the aftermarket stuff, which does make the kit better. Thanks for watching - cheers
