  • Here I was working a job back in 2013 in Toronto, ON. I was working for a company that delivered road salt to the city of Toronto. I really enjoyed that job. I was running a Komatsu WA500 Wheel Loader here.

Small world! My home is here in the "6ix" and I love this City! How long did you live here and what part of town did you live in? I live out in the former City of York which is a really cool place to be with great people. Is there anything going on up at Oak Island? I would assume there are people coming and going even though no work is being done at this time of year. It's cold here in T.O. but not much snow so far. Take care! --- John

I lived in Etobicoke, and Brampton when I lived in Toronto for 4 years. I really enjoyed it there, but I moved back to Nova Scotia after I got laid off for the summer after I realized I was having my first child. I wanted him to be born and raised where I was. Nova Scotia is really beautiful, and a nice place to live, if your into the whole slow pace of life. Toronto was amazing when I was there because I was younger and the city life was great also! There was SO much opportunity there! I struggle to find work around here. I do still have a few friends from there, and my employer was one of my best friends.
There isn't much going on here either on Oak Island in the winter time, the gate stays locked nearly all the time! Only maybe once a week or so a person will go down and drive around the island to make sure everything is the way it should be. Once we get to March the activity will pick up alot! That's when I plan to make my trips back to the island! I am waiting on a part for my drone to arrive so I can fly it again. It should be here by the end of this month, as soon as it arrives and it is airworthy again, I will make a winter flight over the island! I always wanted to do a fly over of the island with snow on it!
