Imo Orange Piccolo is really really weird. I can never like that form, looks terrible. The scene when he transformed was good but the outcome is not it. But beast is insane, the transformation was amazing and the form itself looks crazy. If Toriyama explains what tf is it then I think I can accept it. Orange Piccolo will require a long time to get used to. But I love that he finally got a huge power up so he can catch up to Goku and Vegeta. He really needed that.

“This movie’s been a lot about Piccolo.” Funny thing is, Super Hero was originally meant to be a Piccolo solo film, but Akio Iyoku, Toriyama’s right hand man suggested throwing Gohan in there too to garner more interest in the film. So while Gohan was inevitably the hero of this film, Piccolo was truly the protagonist. Overall, I’m so glad that not only was Piccolo the protagonist of a film, but got TWO NEW FORMS. It felt like Toriyama saying “Sorry for making Big Green irrelevant for so long, here you go.”

He hasn't had a true moment like this since the Cell saga, and all his moments until now has been sorta lackluster in comparison to other characters. I am so happy to finally see him get something like this both lorewise and to make him relevant again on the power scale

I love how they show the subtle differences between how goku and vegeta have been training. Goku literally stumbles and is off balance multiple times at the start of the fight because he just trains his body, whereas vegeta is steady as a rock because he is training his mind hence why it’s almost ui like in his movements.

In the Vegeta vs. Goku sparring match you mentioned Vegeta was just defending for most of it. Something a lot of people don’t pick up on (mostly due to DBS kinda throwing it out the window) is that in DBZ Vegeta is very much so a defensive, ranged fighter. He likes to fight defensively until he can get an opening to fire a powerful blast whereas Goku has always been the exact opposite, applying as much pressure as possible with a full-frontal offense until his opponent is staggered enough for him to get in a big hit or a blast
Btw every character that can use ki has telekenisis Is Just that Is not in everyones fighting style week see It being used by characters like Goku vegeta frieza Cell etc during Z too

Gamma one and two are supposed to be equal to super Saiyan blue. Ultimate Gohan is supposed to have unlimited potential it's supposed to be a state of being like in dragon Ball z during the Buu saga but Gohan's lack of physical and mental training his potential was cut off which is why the ultimate Gohan isn't a state of being now it's a transformation. At least now he can go to mystic form at will as long as his energy isn't too low.

My reasoning is that when dragon balls are created by namekians they can use them to gain more power than others (not including granola) Picolo deserved this wish.
My hangup isn't with Piccolo's wish, _per se;_ it's that weird 'upgrade' they gave to the dragon in the prior scene, and how _that_ makes Piccolo's powerup feel unearned. If all it takes to loosen some of Shenron's wish-granting limitations is a jug of holy water, then why not do it before, or do it again in the future? How many jugs would it take to make his powers on-par with Super Shenron? It just raises too many questions and breaks the established rules.

They also need to come up with better reasons to powerup comebacks than a loved one in danger as that's been done like 10 times in DB now but Goku did get destroyed vs Goku black even tho he used that anger so that's good at least

If all it takes to loosen some of Shenron's wish-granting limitations is a jug of holy water, then why not do it before, or do it again in the future? How many jugs would it take to make his powers on-par with Super Shenron? It just raises too many questions and breaks the established rules.
@@DaMainman2 exactly, This was just a asspull of a powerup when done this way and it was just given just like that with the dragonballs. The power scaling/progression is completely fucked now and they kinda did this to themselves when they neglected Piccolo and gohan for so long and now want to bring them up to relevancy in an instant.
They also need to come up with better reasons to powerup comebacks than a loved one in danger as that's been done like 10 times in DB now but Goku did get destroyed vs Goku black even tho he used that anger so that's good at least
