Nomad might be trunks from the current "what if...". Girbo did meet with Dr. Mew, I wouldn't be surprised if Girbo is currently monitoring Bosca and his friends and is like "Hmm... Time Travel...". I think it's more him and Mew meddling with time resulting in Nomad.
I think the fact that Goku is a lot more cunning in this timeline kind of makes his rivalry with Vegeta far less antagonistic. Like the the very least Vegeta has already developed a grudging respect to Bocksa because of it.
I would have thought that Trunks would bristle at Nomad "optimising" time lines like he were playing other peoples lives without their knowedge or consent.

Not that 17 and 18 werent powerful, but give Tao, a seasoned an accomplished assassin and martial artist, at least before Goku came on scene, the Android upgrade, dude poses a major threat. Blue could pose a threat on his own with his ability to lock opponents in place with only his glare.
The return of general Blue, wonder if he still remembers when Boxer saved his life from the volcano all those years ago, or did he replace that part of his humanity… time will tell……

Well, from Dragon Ball Z to Super in one jump, things are escalating to a much more intense and dangerous level. Will we have tragic endings here?
What if Tien survived against Nappa? What if Arale went to Tournament of Power instead of Frieza? What if Yamcha’s new girlfriend from Dragon Ball Heroes was canon?

Maybe that means that Trunks succeeded against the Androids, but fell to either Majin Buu or whoever Zamasu switches bodies with in this timeline. (No guarantees yet that it would be Goku Black). Also, Nomad must be working with the Supreme Kai of time. I mean come on, if not then she would totally be on his ass for time traveling way more than just once.
