This couldn't be more timely. Getting my R1T on Tuesday and doing the correction myself. Thanks for the great detail. Looking forward to the next video.
Very interesting information, I now believe I would have treated my new Model Y differently now. I really wish I would of talked to you a lot more now when I was there.
Ya those marks on the plastic trim are from wax, my truck didnt have it when I picked it up but it did after i waxed it with paste lol. I used an eraser to remove them. The owner might had waxed it himself and left that wax paste all over the truck. My r1t all black had none of that, it was spotless, it didnt get tore up until i started driving it and cleaning it myself. That front black smooth plastic grill is hard to clean i think, its not really paint but its not like the plastic trim either. That PPF on the gear tunnel is to protect that area from rocks, particularly rocks damage from high speed off roading like drift.
Hey Colton really enjoying your videos. I finally got my forest green r1t and already noticed paint chip as well as panel misalignment. Wondering if these are fixable through its mobile service. First time dealing with Rivian and honestly have no clue what to do
Does every Rivian come with the gear guard side protected with the film? Understand why you are not a fan of the PPF. Looking forward to that pro/con exchange.
Very much looking forward to the remainder of this series. The information is so valuable. My white R1/T is scheduled for Nov/Dec delivery. I will be pulling the PPF off as well. What adhesive remover do you use? Are you using the adhesive remover on the former PPF sections before washing again? Thank you
I don’t quite get many R1T owners obsession with paint correction, PPF, ceramic coatings, etc. that costs thousands of dollars. It’s a truck!!! I’m waiting for 3MM thick SS Cybertruck so I can purposely avoid all of this hoopla.
Great video and looking forward to our PPF debate
Really love that metallic green color. Wow. Crazy attention to detail on your part. Thanks for sharing this with us...
Coleton is the detailing Wizard!

Taking delivery of a Model S this Thursday and am really on the fence about PPF. I do plan on keeping the car for at least 4 years

I can't imagine many owners of working trucks being interested in paint correction. 😊

How much for this full service? My two week old R1T is covered in swirl marks and polishing compound spots from the Denver Service Center 🙄

Congrats! Stay tuned for the Episode 2! All the information in there.
I wonder how many hours it would have saved him if Rivian had done NOTHING I the paint before delivery…
More business for you, lol.

lol, i think its just the ppl online who are worried about the paint. Most of the rivians i seen around are covered it mud and dirt.
