In my opinion, anything that does 0-60 in under 5 seconds and has over 280 hp is pretty fast

i agree. Ive got a 2020 x5 and it does 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. When I put it in sport+ that thing feels kinda nuts

I agree. I have a Polestar 2 dual motor that does 0-60 in less than 3.9 seconds on Sport Mode. (tested this late at night when no one was on the road)
I think the worst mods are Squatted trucks which makes it look like a dog taking a shit.

Subjectively, 8-6 seconds is average every-day, 5-4 is sporty, 3 is super, 2 and under is hyper.

a trend i find irritating is certain car brands putting iconic names on newer vehicles that have no connection to their past cars, such as ford putting the mustang name on mach e, dodge making the charger an ev car, and mercedes making the c63 amg into a 4 cylinder.
Honestly I like the splitter guards I think they go well with the cars

An Alfa Romeo Giulia (Their Sedan) comes in a 280Hp Petrol version and imo i agree that 280+ Hp is fast. The internet just ruins people's perceptions of "Speed" / What is fast. Also in Europe imo it's harder to get a "Fast car" since the car taxes are so high in most countries in west europe, like we can't get a charger for what 35 grand? Audi, Bmw & Mercedes all cost more...
One trend I would like to add is people thinking that v8s are legit the fastest engine on earth over everything. Don't get me wrong I love v8s, but just because a car doesn't have 8 cylinders doesn't mean it's slow.
In my opinion a good 0-60 is 5 or 6 seconds
Black cars are boring at night. They can look good in the right lighting but when I'm driving near a murdered out vehicle on the highway it just looks like a silhouette of a car, no detail or distinction
People don't really realize how fast 200 hp is my e46 330i is 230 hp stock (tuned to 303) and does 0-60 in 6 seconds stock, 5.4 tuned and feels scary fast i think the youtubers of 1000hp cars ruined our perception of speed ( I'm 16 rn)
Ngl, splitter guards kinda remind me of rookie stripes in NASCAR, particularly with muscle cars. I kinda like that vibe
quick 0-60 is anything under 5.5, and around 6 seconds is "brisk"
I’m gonna agree with your statement on the “respect every build” because when you see a donked out Infiniti FX35, it makes me want to bleach my eyes, driving in my dads stock FX35 and seeing that abomination just makes me sad, and added to that is that they are rusted out, clapped out, and a waste of a great performance/luxury SUV
5 second range or quicker is what I would call fast . 6 second is still nothing to be ashamed about

2:05 Sound of the car is the same as World Rally Championship cars. The cars have the same sound when you take your foot off the accelerator. The electronics continue to inject petrol to power the turbo.
I think a 0-60 of 4,5 seconds is really fast. Also I think that 300hp on a car is quick. You don’t need it breaking your neck rolling out the drive through

I agree with all of them except the moparts front splitter yellow thingy and the burble tunes, I like burbles, idk why, like even the sound of fireworks when they pop makes me relax idk why, but I know that's just me im kinda strange. Btw nice video as always

Speaking on thr speed part. My dad owns a 2000 viper and a 2019 redeye. So I asked him, which one is faster and what would win a race? He simply said it all depends the viper has 500hp and the hellcat has 797 BUT what about the weight, prep surface. Horsepower dosent exactly make or break a car, their are lots of different factors more than how big you engine is or how much horsepower your car has.

Anything doing less than 7 seconds is fast to me. 6-5 seconds is really quick, and anything below 4 seconds is crazy. People on the internet don't realize how much your neck suffers from anything below 5 seconds.
When you visit Germany and lived there for 3 years all the BMW’s, Audis, Mercedes all to me are just fuel and grocery getters. I promised it won’t be special over there because it’s a norm over there and I looked at them the same way in the US like Civics and Corollas.
I think a 0-60 of around 5 seconds is pretty quick for a sports car
(Sports car as in something like a mx5 miata or subaru brz)
The subaru wrx has a 0-60 of 5.5 seconds i can confirm that it feels quicker than 5.5 seconds.
My 2012 RAV 4 does 0-60 in about 6-7 seconds. I4 with I think around 180 hp, so for me it’s a 5 second or lower 0-60 or above 200 hp is pretty good for the average car.
Worst car trend is when you see lower trucks especially who drive them acting like their trucks are fast

The horsepower rate its true. These social media mechanics/tuners/car enthusiasts don't understand power to weight ratios. To be perfectly honest though, I only see this trend among Americans. Have never met an American who didn't think "You need more displacement to be fast" stfu. Out here in 12L v12 pushing 550 at the wheels next to a honda fit doing the same and it's FWD. It's crazy.
Taking a stock car to a meet is a no no, but what if the car is stock only on the outside?

Is this a "Car Meet" or "Modified Car Meet" cos if it's the former then this just seems to be USA-specific gatekeeping of the hobby, in Europe nobody cares what you drive & it's state as long as you have an interest in cars &/or the driving experience.

I don’t really mind stock cars at meets as a lot of people enjoy cars but don’t want to break their warranty with engine mods or tank their resell value with cosmetic mods. The only time I clowned on someone for being stock was we had a guy at a small Brooklyn meet (my homie set it all up) in a stock 2017 (I think) Porsche 718 Boxster. He pulled up for 3 minutes then called everyone poor (crazy considering the M8 and AMG GT2 there were almost double the price of his car), so I yelled out to him “poverty is when you spend all your money at the dealer and then are forced to ride around on stock rims and OEM wheels”. He called me a “slow brokie” for driving an M240i, I didn’t even bother to tell him my 0-60 is about .5 seconds faster than 2024 718s😂 the Porsche also had a golf ball sized dent in the drivers door and cracked windshield
280 hp is respectable and tbh the blacked out civic doesn’t look terrible but I’m with you on not recommending it
So I drive a BMW M4 Competition and the burble sounds are stock in the Sport and Sport + modes which I personally think sounds good. However, aggressive burbles tunes on VW and/or Subaru's I think sound awful.
Those tunes are literally made for bmw's

i feel like splitters would look nice on cars as a design if they weren't only in yellow, like some cars (specifically hellcats) look decent with them imo, but for most it's just that the yellow part of it doesn't really match, so if someone painted it to match the car's paint job instead of the normal color it might look nice.

I would say somewhere in the 4 sec range is fast enough for daily driving. Only problem with speed and power is, you always want more. After a few months with a car you get used to it and then end up finding yourself up at 3am looking at Vipers and GTR's.

I don’t see the harm in mopar owners leaving the splitter guards on. It doesn’t even look bad which is insane to me. The hate sounds as ridiculous as some of the stuff I’ve heard people say HOA complains about. Like of all the trends out here this one is something that gets under people’s skin. Cambereing your wheels is by far the dumbest look of all customization. The splitters can make it look better if it fits the color scheme but only if it fits the color.
I think 5-6 sec to 100km/h 0-60 mp/h is plenty fast for a daily commuter :) I had a Leon 1.6 16v and it had 9.7sec to 100 or 60mph and it was fun atleast for me :)
I personally have not driven any sports car and only have driven family cars. To me, a honda Odyssey with v6 is fast and fun to drive

A lot of the German cars sport models burble from factory. I have a 340 and people have complimented or commented on the burbles and I'm like, honestly, I leave the burbles alone. That's just how they come.

My parents own a 2012 dodge caravan with 296 hp, it’s not the fastest but still average and we rented a suv and the acceleration was faster by a little bit and I loved it, it makes a difference with a smaller car

Its because of the drivers. There is a ton of annoying BMW fans. Got to the point where people just dont wanna seem associated with them making them not like it
its the same with overhyped jdm cars like mk4 supra or r34 gtr. theyre very good cars but their fanbase is just awful

As with anything popular it will attract a larger audience and by extension a larger subset of undesirable fans.
Personally i'd just ignore it and go with the car that YOU want that makes you happy, making major life choices like a car purchase to appease other people is not the way to go.
I like the splitter guards, I think most people do it for aesthetic reasons, not because they think it actually helps protect the car after shipping. But yeah, street takeovers and cutting up are incredibly dangerous and I dont see how thats more fun than racing on empty streets
in italy getting over 200hp is kinda rare cause you pay way more taxes, indeed i think 200hp is already pretty fast since a Fiesta St can do 0-60 in 6.5s, and if you do a stage 1 is 6 secs,so not bad for a car that costs 27k usd used 400eur of annual taxes.
for comparing a used Challenger with 3.6 v6 with demon styling (300hp) is around 50k usd used with 1k annually of taxes.
with a hellcat you'd pay 7k in taxes annually just to own it,

70k to 150k msrp coupes are the perfect range for totally blacking out a car, anything under 70k is just regular cars and anything more than 150k deserves a vibrant color
