It's the fault of the costume designers not the “north Indians ". At least north Indians show south culture in their movies, how many movies in the south are made based on northern culture? How many southern movies have shown punjabi or UPite or rajasthani or himachli or even Bengali protagonists? Stop complaining. Even north indian brides wear very heavy and silk sareers, especially banarsi silk or they wear heavy lenhgas but traditionally even north indians used to wear silk sarees so this is totally a maker's fault. Even I wore a silk saree neatly folded like a south indian bride and full south Indian head jewellery and neck piece at my brother's wedding because I love the look. I guess when you talk about hate you guys should look at yourself first, I seriously think you hate us, at least that's what I've seen online and also suffered.

As far as the costume goes, even if i overlook all other shortcomings, the choice of chiffon saree is unbearable. Tamil brides wear rich kanjeevaram silk sarees. Barring very few communities , rich silk sarees are worn. Even those communities that wear cotton saree, wear it only for 10-15 minutes when the mangalsutra is tied. Some wear a white cotton saree dipped in turmeric water and made yellow. This is based on their tradition n culture. After this ceremony, they change d saree for a rich silk saree
Blunder on customer, South Indian don’t wear flowers like that. The saree is always pattu ( silk) . The necklace also is not a temple jewellery. These Bollywood nonsense, do some research atleast 😂
