Everybody has their own style. This car is clearly not a performance car, it is a show car and that's what it was built for. Obviously if he has no intent of showing off the engine bay or using the car in a track setting, performance mods would not be logical. 'Stance' cars aren't my style but I still have massive respect towards the amount of time, money, and effort that have went into this car.

Don't really get the hate for lack of performance mods. Car looks sick, sounds sick, and with the tune up still is decently fast. Somewhere in the mid 4 seconds for 0-60, and for a daily driver that's about all you need, and for me want. I have a g35x that pushes 400 WHP that I daily, and I also have a built IROC camaro that dynoed before cams and tune was at 600 WHP probably somewhere near 630-650 now. I would absolute hate daily driving the camaro. It's smooth as hell, it has nice interior and quality of life functions and the drone isn't bad when the extra exhaust valves are closed via fob. But driving it through crowded cities, and in any kind of snow is a nightmare and it becomes more of a hassle then anything. Keep in mind this isn't even "insanely powerful." Fastest slip for the quarter mile I ever got was in Miland, MI. It ran 11.2, MAYBE could've squeezed out high 10's if we could've gotten the wheels to stop spinning. A lot of new camaro's and mustangs with turbo kits can beat that easily. My point is I'm sure some people daily cars that fast and love them, I don't. My G35x with some extra power is pretty fast, Never took it to a drag strip for 1/4 mile but I assume it would run mid/high 12's based on other G's and weight/power/gearing. About as fast maybe a little slower than a newer Mustang GT (think they run like 12.1-12.4), but with AWD and luxurious interior and features the GT doesn't have. So this guy took a car he's going to hopefully drive for years, made it look great, and sound great. Still going to be reliable, and is something you can enjoy daily. Besides I wouldn't trust a BRZ to push over 420 MAYBE 450 HP without upgrading the internals. Even at that HP the lifespan of the engine is probably cut into a third, at best. Every single mod he did probably doesn't add up to what it would cost to turbo/supercharge the car and cam it, have it blow up, pay to have it torn down to the block to find out a rod melted to a cylinder wall and the block is junk, buy another engine and rinse and repeat, or pay for a block and have the engine built. IDK about most of youtube, but my camaro from start to finish, including the price of the car was less than 6 grand, and I had to get everything on massive deals or find steals at yards and craigslist, I'm poor dude. For those G enthusiasts who might wonder, yes the 400 HP is at the wheels, and this is the AWD Sedan model. It's a 2005 and it's still NA. I bought the car with a blown engine and bored it out 40 thousands over, milled the heads to raise compression ratio to 12:1. For the bottom end I saved a lot of money by NOT getting forged pistons, I just got forged rods and the bolt kit from Z1. I found that the rods (what went out in the engine) are pathetic on VQ's but for some reason the pistons are tanks. The stock pistons are likely good up till 600HP reliably so why fix what ain't broke? Brian Crower stage 3 cams made a giant difference, and were easily the most expensive part. I got them for 700 dollars secondhand. A plenum spacer, cold air intake, and ECU flash later and the car eeked out 402 on the dyno. Car has 3 inch exhaust no mufflers or resonators and megan test pipes. A stock G35 at the crank is 300, at the wheels is more like 260-270. So I gained about 140 HP from the above. Cam, increasing the engine bore, and the ECU flash were easily the big three that changed the car. Compression and new injectors was more of just feeding the car than anything. Right now the funniest part is if you look at the engine it looks stock looking down on the plenum, and the car has all original body panels and interior. So looking at the car off it's really unsuspecting, but when you turn it on and hear the idle with the cams and the aggressive exhaust, it becomes kind of obvious. The engine bay atm looks gross, my wiring harness isn't tubed and there are wires ziptied everywhere because I had to pinpoint a broken wire that was causing a misfire.
