I can only comment with my experience. When you first install Autocad, there's an option to install Libraries (icons). When using Icon menu within a drawing, they force you to attach a stamp "WD_PNLM" . - In Project Manager you need to setup, (I believe) 2 files? .WDT and .WDP I set them up in their one Directory and reuse them for future project to point to them files. I'll remove old drawings prior to importing new drawings. If I need to go back to a drawings directory I repeat the process (removing old then adding new drawings). That's a quick (not thorough explanation) on setting up Project Manger & adding Icon menus of manufactured equipment. Autocad/autodesk is definitely NOT the most user friendly software out there, trust me. I wish there was a better application that is more user friendly and achieved the same workable file. Forgot to mention if you're only seeing a limited "icon menu" try clicking on the tab highlighted as "menu" within the Insert Component box see around the 2:40 mark for that. When you click on it it shows with and without Menus (left side of Component box)

We standardise on PC for all of our Autodesk products. The AutoCAD for Mac interface is very different, and doesn’t have all of the same tools as the specialised toolsets offer in Windows. I would recommend using something like Parallels or Boot Camp to allow you to run the windows versions of Autodesk applications on your Mac should you need to.

how did you get the IEC Symbols in ACAD 2022? All the libraries are installed automatically by default, arent they?

Are you using this on a mac or PC? I have a mac and I'm using the 2023 version of AutoCAD electrical. The interface looks very different. Any ideas?
