Can we just appreciate the fact that Seulgi has the choice to choose a mainstream popular song that the general public would like but she chose the song that she thinks the fans would like instead that would fits her image? Like my admiration for her just keep increasing

True, it’s a perfect choice
It's so interesting seeing Seulgi record, you can tell she's a perfectionist. As much as I enjoy seeing how hard working she is, I hope she's able to do things more easily eventually without having to overthink and second guess herself. As her fan, I just want her to have fun experiences and enjoy what she's doing. Seulgi please know I will always cheer you on. Please don't put so much pressure on yourself to the point of stress.

I just hope she know we just want happiness and enjoyment for her. If she can show her artistry freely, that’s all I would want.
And just yesterday we came to know that kluvies boycotted her solo because they wanted group activities. Imagine working hard for 15 years only for your own fans to boycott your solo debut. That's the reason she didn't chart well in Korea. She deserves better! Hope seulmates will focus more on her henceforth and make ksg2 a success.

We need more idols like Seulgi in the industry. As most group strive for trend and what's 'popular' these days, we also need idols that will strive beyond that. We need art. This is why Seulgi so is admirable.

If you’re not from the big three and don’t follow the trends it will be extremely hard to get attention.You can only “strive beyond that” if you’re from a decently sized company.

If you want people who actually make art then you are going to have to look beyond any pop industry. The main goal of any big label is to make money (they are a buisness after all), and they don't care about the people that they have signed (unless they are making them money). Most idols (and musicians outside of korea) probably are in it for the art but they only get to do what they want to do, if what they want to do makes the company money.

No matter how much we stream (and ReVeluvs isn't even that big of a fandom to begin with) it's not gonna reflect on chart, fans have no power whatsoever. Seulgi just lacks general public recognition and her song isn't something a newly debuted soloist should do if they want to capture the public's heart. It's Seulgi's choice, she rather chooses arts then charts and as fans we respect it

Seulgi really tries her best everytime like she said she wasn’t in her best condition when she’s recording this and sounds won’t come out the way she wanted to but damn she still slayed 28 reasons with ease. Hands down to this hardworking and perfectionist bear. Really lookking forward to what she’ll serve next!
I love her deep voice so much that make 28 Reasons is one of my favorite kpop soloist' songs this year, joining Ryeowook's Hiding Words and Taeyeon's INVU

correct. there are so many words that had become cliches because of the kpop community. thinking of words to describe her have been pretty hard because of the cliches. how she is described as an all-rounder in her company goes well with how you described her in your comment 👍😍 she indeed is 🍃

Actually they're already have the choreography with the demo song, so seulgi already learn the choreography before recording
actually most idols had already learn the choreography before they record the song and they used the demo first, because they don't have so much time to record first then learn the choreo after, so they balanced it with using the demo to learn choreo while recording the song
Seulgi was really stressful these days because she had to do everything on her own at this time. But this album is great, from the concept, the songs, and the visual (I mean visual of all version of this album). I’m so proud of this girl.

Being a perfectionist is both a blessing and a curse. You can hit your best but at the same time you get yourself frustrated and it can be nerve-racking especially when you're not doing very well, and when you are putting so much efforts to do so. I hope Seulgi get a long time resting and enjoying her hard work, because she deserves that.

but in red velvet they record the chorus, that's even harder. FMR had different keys changes when they sang the chorus. lol someone on youtube made a statisfying recording version of FMR with the correct keys lol

The fact that they give the artist so much control and input over their songs is so satisfying. You know they are not just going along with a bunch of songs that producers made.

Wow, I love the way they developed 28 Reasons - the demo having "I kiss your brother, I steal your sweater" vs the way the final version does not repeat the rhythmic pattern immediately, is much more satisfying.
Of course we also have Seulgi's incredible vocals delivering the final product, but really. She was able to hear the potential in this song very clearly from the beginning.
the demo of 28 reason is so catchy but very mainstream ngl, i like that it was adjusted to be darker and fit more with seulgi!!!

I honestly think Seulgi has one of the most unique and distinguishable voices in kpop. She’s got this natural vibrato that just….hits different. I have not heard ANYONE who has a voice like hers! I’m not saying she’s the BEST in kpop, but she’s just SO UNIQUE. I think this song fit her voice PERFECTLY….it wouldn’t have the same vibe if anyone else sang it. Pretty much idol of idol, she's still active in idol industry wearing different hats off-screen doesn't make her stop being idol or artist. Just like Hyo, Seulgi is no doubt talented but let's not take it over the top.

As expected, *CROWN IS DEFINITELY A DESERVING TITLE TRACK CANDIDATE.* But this song is not of a dance song, maybe that's why it wasn't chosen as the title track. But the vibe and beat of the song is ver much Seulgi-ish. Thankfully, this was added as a side track.
'Crown' should be a Netflix credit song to a series.
