Thank you for showing how to put a light in on top of wallpaper. You’re the only video I could find! Very helpful.

Great video! Would you suggest putting a small bit of glue to the back of the light as well to hold it onto the wall more securely?

Good question and of course everyone can do as they see fit. I would not recommend it however, because lights go out and have to be removed in the life of the dollhouse. Putting glue on seems to me that it could cause problems with ripping wallpaper, paint and depending on how much glue, maybe even your tape wire when you try to remove it for testing and replacement bulbs/light. I’ve never had problems with them staying in with the eyelet holders on side walls. Ceilings are different and depending on the weight I like the Canopy Adapters CK800. They are very easy to manage and stay in very well.

Thanks Tina. Very informative. This looks better than directly wiring into the tape run with the wire itself. I do have a question. I've run the tape wire throughout the doll house and I've wall papered already. That was the recommendation with the doll house. Why can't you drill into the wall paper once you have the tape run located behind the paper. I do have a couple of rooms not papered yet. So I may wall paper over the brads then pull them out. Seems dicey either way. I'm going to end up with repair jobs on the paper with miss-located holes.

Kevin, in my experience, it can be done both ways, it’s just easier locating where you want to put your light evenly and accurately if you put the brads first. However, I have also papered over and been able to use my test probe, and finger to determine the location I need to put my eyelets. Then used my hole punch to make the holes big enough to put in my eyelets. Hope this answers your question. Happy dollhousing!
