They had a Smart-Father. He showed his sons something different outside “The Toxic Environment of LA”. SALUTE to his Father!!
Real talk like Tre and Fishburn GOD Bless everybody, be there for ya kids

Not just LA, but the whole West
he should have moved them away from LA,thats what a good parent do
A traditonal man is a smart man. A modern man has been deceived by the media
Man NIP was such a deep, wise, understanding, giving human being… truly a giant in this world…. Rest in power you’re truly missed man
u simple af
He was. He didn’t have rigid mindset which allowed him to mature, grow and be receptive to new experiences. He was of a different caliber for sure. There’s a few like him but not many.
How you wise and you get shot in the hood with millions of dollars in your bank account??? Sound like some dumb shit to me
When u know where u from, it is the compass of where u going, when u realize u been doing wrong and check ourselvs, it breeds wisdom
WOW...well said!

As an Eritrean from the west coast. Thank you for this video. I don’t care if it was when he was 18. In that video when his dad is asking him how he is. This nigga FINALLY spoke Tigrinya.
All these years all these interviews. I never heard him speak a word of Tigrinya. I can finally be easy on that. So many of us out here and we don’t try and master our mother tongue. All love though. R.I.P Erimias 🙏🏾
I’m Persian from Iran and have so much respect for your people. First off today, Iran, and Eritrea are big time allies, but in ancient times we had Ethiopian soldiers in ancient Persian armies they were so strong, and tall. They were in the elite, they were called “the Persian immortals” and we have ancient reliefs with them painted on there. So much respect to you bro! ✌️ and ❤️ to 🇪🇷 from a Iranian 🇮🇷
@@agostocobain2729 you’re like white people in America with black people who came from west Africa. You can’t speak about us without including yourself and some rhetoric of a time when you were in charge. I am an Eritrean, not a Ethiopian. That was your first mistake.
Do you come to an American channel and talk about you’re Italian (pretending you’re Italian for the story) and the British use to serve as soldiers in the Roman Empire? No, you don’t. You have something to say about Nipsey, say it.
You have something to say to an Ethiopian, go on their channel and say it. Most importantly, don’t do white people passive aggressive ish and pretend to show love but implement a story of when one was under another and served for the other as one is clearly the master race. That was very clear in what you did. The fuk out of here with that habibi ✌🏾
I think it was dope to see how nip act when his DAD was recording and asking question vs when anyone else is asking questions behind the camera you can see the child in him talking to his father! I say that as a parent I see that in my son this was dope
Congratulations bro. Fatherhood has blessings.
I was thinking that too. It was wholesome to see that
lol he was told in Africa you gotta get up when greeting elders and holding your other hand like its heavy, respect
Lol.." hold your hand like its heavy.." . 😝😂Im Kenyan and this cracked me up. Never heard it described that way. Funny af. That style is for old folks generation. It's not as prevalent now.
It's true tho
Maybe not like it is heavy but you shake with the right hand as a sign of respect
6:00 look how proud the dad is to have them see their home country
you did what you were here for NIP thank you
💯 true 🏁

My African-American teenage son just told my 40 year old son; his big brother; he thought we should become Muslims because of the family structure. He doesn’t like our family structure. He ain’t wrong. I was just like Wow!!
5:47 Maaan that brought a tear to my eye, seeing Nip, Blacc Sam and their pops sharing that moment in the motherland. They belong to a beautiful culture!! I guess it hits a little bit different knowing Nipsey ain't around anymore.
Man, I really miss Nipsey day by day.
Me too
Gang life will put you down. Look to God.
Africa for Africans ❤❤
Whole time he was talking Lauren London was just chilling in the corner 😅 that’s just so cool
his career n everything just blew soo fast...even the whole getting a star on the walk of fame like thats major when u consider he aint really been mainstream but 2 yrs tops. Prolific is the word, nd man did he live up to that. Even know his presence is felt
Blew up too fast? Dude he was rapping since 2008🤷🏾♂️
@@asparagusonly yall negros dont listen i swear... "blew up" obviously im talking about when he became widely recognized. jay buying his album for $100 each ect was pretty prolific but still he really didnt have a huge buzz even close to how it was between victory lap and his passing

I miss Nip everyday 🇰🇪❤️
Black Sam was living it up from day 1 lol. You can see Nip transitioning when they went to Eritrea 🇪🇷
Damn, imagine how different his life would have been if his family never moved to the USA... He would most likely still be alive, and we would have probably never knew who he was. Life and choices are nuts. . .
he was born and raise in south central l.a to an American mom and african dad.that was his first time visiting africa
@@khalidtownseel5966 your right I think his trying to say, what if he was never exposed to that culture, taken from LA when he was real young. But those problems he faced are what made him the stand up man he was, it’s a double edge sword. But I do believe it would have been better for him to grow up in his homeland since you can see it brought order, meaning and purpose in his life.
Causality/fated
like me hahahahah im still living in africa with poor job poor salary still living with my parent and had no vision why because im in a country that stop u from doing anything no sells in street no this no that and job is like something unexist everyone here they stick to their job by their hand and theet for not quieting their job so that why im very mad

@@FeR-kt1jt Eritrea and Ethiopia are one. The only thing dividing them is a border. If you separate two brothers for decades doesn't take away the fact that they are brothers and come from one family.
@@ajl2232 do you feel the same for Somaliland and Somalia? I understand your position though. I’m a huge fan of all of East Africa . Just a young blk guy from L.A
@@FeR-kt1jt Somaliland and Somalia mostly consist of the same ethnic group, Somalis. RIP to the Great Hustle. Have a painting of you in my office, to keep me grounded on why I choose to work in probation with kids. At times, I feel ashamed of it because of how I grew regarding the system, but at the same time, if it’s not me, a brown man, trying to do right by the kids, then who? Someone who grew up in a nice neighborhood? Naw, at least my accountability comes with love.

As much as I like this. I don't like that Tariq Mashed usually promotes division between black Americans and other black people from the diaspora. I'm just stating the facts, I followed his stuff for years. He was ados now fba, and the whole time promoting xenophobic ideas against Africans and Caribbean people.
He can promote that all he wants coz that's how he makes his money. As long as we can all be civil with each other then we'll be alright and we'll get along fine
