    Let’s take a look back at Nipsey’s life .He came from an African American and and African lineage .He embraced his african roots and talked about how his trip to Africa pretty much started shaping his whole perception about life .(Meanwhile some Africans don’t even want to admit they are from Africa after they make it out of there ) .
    He grew up in a neighborhood where all odds were against him but he overcame and gave back .He could have taken a record deal, settled for some money and gotten himself and his family out of the hood but he was selfless and a man of his words so he worked hard to build his own record label /businesses (The Marathon) and started making an impact in his community and even tho he didn’t have the fame like most of these rappers ,he still kept going because he wasn’t doing it for himself .
    He released just one album after all these years of hustling and titled it “victory lap” .It’s like he almost knew it was going to be his only album after all these years of running his marathon. All these years he has been living and teaching us through his music and interviews but most of us wasn’t paying attention and I bet if he wasn’t taken from us the way he was (which is senseless) it might not have hit us the way it’s hitting us now and making us pay attention the way we all are now . Looking back I’m starting to believe this was his true purpose in life .Now it’s up to us to continue the marathon and bring to life more Ermias (God will rise /uplift ), Joseph (betrayed by a brother) Asghedom AkA Nipsey Hussle . THE MARATHON CONTINUES .
    Empower one another and let us step into our greatness collectively just like how he wanted it .
    ( P.S I usually don’t comment on social media or listen to rap music anymore so when I got the notification on my phone about his death , I thought to myself ohh another rapper has been killed (which is what the conditioning of this world does to us and lesson learned)but later saw more post of him and the DR. Sebi after work and then his interviews and I started paying attention and started hitting me as if he was an immediate family and I haven’t been the same since he passed .Its been 10 days and I’m still stuck with everything Nipsey hussle . He was too real for the world we live in now )
    You truly are “THA GREAT “ !!!!!

I have never grieved another celebrity like I did Nip. I felt something soooooooo different. One thing for sure that I am positive of and have experienced is that his energy (spirit) is so strong and heavy....He emptied himself out. Although I never met him, I feel like I knew him....What an EXTRAORDINARY MAN....GENUINE AND HEARTFELT INDIVIDUAL....THE MARATHON CONTINUES....IT HAS TOO...HE WON'T LEAVE US ALONE...ESPECIALLY THOSE OF US WHO PAID ATTENTION...PICK UP THE BATON AND RUN ON...RIP NIP....WE LOVE YOU...

      *Well stated* You are right. All of us have a true purpose. We just need to reach for it, apply it, and share it as to teach another so that each individual marathon continues, thus, building a better world. When I am standing in line at a store, library, ect.: It doesn't matter if I don't know that person next to me. I have no problems to look at them, smile, and say "How are you?" 99 percent of the time, it's a smile returned, and so many times a person would actually say what's bothering them (hot outside, line too long, etc.). Just continue the marathon in *your* positive, beautiful way folks. God bless

If you notice, they both were shaking their legs in a way that expresses some kind of excitement, almost like a dog when they wag their tail (not calling them dogs of course). I can tell they both were enjoying the conversation because they knew their intellect matched perfectly, they didn't have to dumb their convo down to each other. Listen to Victory Lap cause his message is very deep. When I heard of his passing it touch me in a way that I can’t describe. To know what he was trying to do for his people and to be taken away for nothing it deep down hurt. Brought me to tears. I’ve been following his movements for a while. I listen to his whole album front to back atleast twice a week. I know everyone say he’s was the 2pac of this generation but to me he was more. He gave you music, knowledge, and ways to better yourself and a chance for people to do better. He said it and done it. 2pac to me only said it. He had a meeting the next day with the chief of police in LA on how the could end gang violence and bettering the police with the community but tragically he was killed by a boy on March 31, 2019 for no reason at all. RIP KING NIPSEY HUSSLE.

    I surely hope we learned from this in a major way. Everyone can wish the best through Social media, but until we stand up and carry his legacy, and his family up on our shoulders, we haven't learned anything.
    We failed to protect his level of intelligence, influence, and his amazing body of work.
    The way he carried himself with such passion and purpose, especially FOR US, and the edification of his community and his people, was nothing short of incredible. It Hurts deeply man, Real Deep.

      Michael Baker what is it?

    • @michaelbaker1476
      @michaelbaker1476 5 ปีที่แล้ว +82

      @@riffraff1880 Its a psychology model that explains the hierarchy of an individuals needs. I use it as a marketing guide to define what customers' needs need met. But it can also be used as a roadmap for selffufilment.
      It ranges from the foundational basic needs (food, water, shelter), and graduates to the pennical of more complex, self fulfillment, needs (self-actualization). The theory is that one cant get to fulfilling the more complex needs without addressing the basic needs. This may summarize why some poor environments produce people that are stuck in survival mode, never developing, or tapping into, the pennical of their potential.

    This is probably one of the best Nipsey interviews I've seen to date. This guy is really genuine. I believe he's going to do more now that he's made the transition than he could ever do in the flesh. All things happen for a reason. In my opinion he trumps Pac as far as being for the people. Maybe it was his maturity. Maybe it was the trip to African, experiencing his culture. Whatever the case, he had a specific path.
