This was a great listen. Thank you. There’s some other important elements I’d like to add, if I may. It has nothing to do with sales, metadata, advertising or any of the other elusive concepts when it comes to being an author. Things change so quickly in the industry that it’s impossible to check every box. One box you should always check is your happiness. Are you having fun? Because there are more non-sales days then there are days where sales are flying in. I released my first novel last year. I didn’t make a ton of sales and I don’t have a million followers on social media, but I have happiness. I made a couple thousand, and I genuinely enjoy what I do and I’m having fun. I understand the algorithms, analytics and business is important. Yes, you should have a great cover. But if that cover doesn’t have “you” on it, and if your book doesn’t “you” in it, it’s not going to be as organic, and it won’t be fun. I’m speaking figuratively, of course. What I’m saying is, I did some research, but a lot of what I did with my book is unique. I didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing or what worked for them. I wanted to do my own thing. I’m hoping to reach even more readers when my second book drops in August, but I’m really having a blast. Have fun with what you’re doing and people will want to get behind you and support, eventually. Your enthusiasm will show up and you’ll attract the right energy. The #1 rule is to have fun first because you can do all the research you want and have everything lined up and you still don’t sell. It’s a fickle game, so don’t get too entangled trying to perfect it all. Make sure you’re having fun.
I think author needs to be happy with the cover. Covers are subjective. Yeah, if you're in a genre you can compare what's being done but I'd never be afraid to break the mold.

This is all golden advice to have so few views. Thank you.
Thanks for telling us about ACX,

I hope somewhere there's something that lists these tools, because I can't write them down quickly enough, even if I did know how to spell them.
Great advice
Bing is also good for searching.
