Commercial diving is a career that can take you to all four corners of the world -- working in locations as diverse as the North Sea, the Indian Ocean or off the coast of Africa. And if you would prefer to work closer to home, you can choose to focus on inshore work instead. The oil and gas industry is currently the single largest employer in the subsea sector, and over the next decade massive developments, which are already in place, will create a large volume of employment in the offshore renewables sector. This means that there will continue to be a demand for offshore personnel including commercial divers and ROV pilot technicians.

Where is tha school?

i'm going to do a course at the norwegian school of commercial diving next year. i was just wondering if you got hired straight away or was it difficult to get your foot in the door?
i've been sport diving for years and worked in the building industry too but don't really have a proper trade, do you think i have any chance to make it? could you give me any advice on getting a job after i complete the course? any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks
