when i saw that scene i instantly thought to myself, "the original voice actor for woods would probably rip the head of the mannequin and hold it in front of mason saying *keep your head in the game mason* " as it would fit perfectly seeing as there was a shiteload of arcade games around. and yes, i know it's not mason he's telling it to, but i have mason there as my head-canon. and there is nothing you can say to alter my head-canon.

It's not even about the voice itself at this point. You can obviously tell woods was James character because they gave him so much freedom and choice.
I think i may have figured out why woods and other returning bo1 characters are re cast,
Those campaigns were made by treyarch. But cold war campaign was written by raven and treyarch.
Treyarch made mp and aombies while raven made the campaign.
Woods his new actor talked about recording with raven for cold war.
All returning characters in the campaign are re cast.
But in zombies we have weaver back, voiced by his original actor.
So i think that raven choose the new actors for returning characters and they were carried over to mp and zombies while weaver who was not in the campaign was voiced by his original actor wich treyarch choose.

@@bloodknight2132 Price was changed because the original voice actor has retired so it was somewhat out of necessity. And too be honest it’s still weird but at the same time you can tell the new actor is making a unique version of the character.

People need to get over the fact he wasn't recast. He's great, and gave so many fond memories when I was younger but come on.
Recasts rarely work and I always get pissed off at them. It's understandable if the original actor was retired etc but sometimes they completely disregard them for someone new. Most notably with David Hayter who got completely ignored just so Kojima could stroke his ego by casting Hollywood celebrities.
