Yay!!! Clicked SO fast. And Taylor and Garrett, congrats on snagging a slot on THE BEST podcast there is. If you didn’t know these two before, just know you’re in the midst of the shandys’ #1 superstars.
This is really exciting. ❤️ Also, I wanted to say that I'm so sorry for your loss, Andy. If you ever need a break, we understand, we aren't going anywhere ;)
Thank you for this phenomenal LoveFest with Taylor and Garrett! They are wonderful together in so many ways, and their communication skills are top tier!
Love these two! So glad you were able to get them on your channel. I've been missing your Love Fests. Taylor and Garrett are both great and I very much enjoyed your conversation with them. Thank you! Also, it's belated, but Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
My absolute favourite moments start at 25:46, when Garrett basically says ''wherever you go baby I'm there, whatever you want, I'll do''. Taylor listening n taking it in. I loved that so much that I kept replaying it to watch her reaction. Babe was like ''keep going baby''. The next favourite moment was Taylor's answer n her tearing up. Gosh! I love them!
This was a fun listen! Taylor and Garrett, give yourselves credit for reaching a point in your relationship in just one year that some get to much later or some not at all. I think you're a strong couple that have what it takes to be happily forever.
How’s refreshing! Thanks for getting me a Taylor n Garrett New Year’s gift guys! I love Taylor so much coz she reflects me so well. People tell me I’m actually sweet post first impression coz I’m always very serious looking as is Taylor. I’m quite aloof n stoic.
😂I too have the 👃 of a truffle pig🐽 . I thought my husband had throat cancer. Turns out he wasn't using his waterpick regularly enough to clean his bridge.😅Before my daughter uses shredded 🧀 she makes me smell it. "Mom is this still good?" Me: "No it smells like feet! How can you not smell that."😂
This should be interesting to see Sharleen and Taylor together, will Sharleen still insist they are nothing alike?! And it's not primarily looks, its their vibe/ how they come across.
I ran to this faster than Usain. Edit: the person who told Taylor about a couple friends, lady being an opera singer n they live in New York is 10000% Nick Viall. I bet he said that during his interview with Taylor n Garrett. I wish Shandy asked who said that so I could be proven right. But I'm so sure 😂
I thinks it’s actually messed up that Taylor went onto LIB DC knowing that she wanted to live all the way across the country. I’m sure Garrett wouldn’t want to have not met her, but in my mind the geographical sacrifice should be on her since she came into a location-specific dating show in bad faith. (In my opinion)
I'm curios about the reveal.. Do they think the reveal would wk better if they brought the couple together blindfolded so they could speak to each other, hear their voice, touch their hands, then remove the blindfold. This allowing the brain to make the connection that this is the person I have feelings for. Kind of like if you were treating someone with Capgras delusion. Maybe that would help make the connection of the person you have been talking to with the person in front of you. Just a thought.
I hear you well. I was also ruminating about it when they were trying to explain it. I definitely think I would have a very blank look during that reveal n I'm sure I would get a lot of backlash for it. But I can't fake it, n it wouldn't be bc I don't find the person attractive (I care little about looks) but bc I just have a resting b face naturally. Imagine that magnified by this LIB reveal 😬
I think the conversation around names is very ignorant. Anyone that doesn't understand this doesn't empathize with the honor one places around their family history and legacy. In another world it could have been the family takes the woman's name, but it's not like that why? Because men fought to preserve that name often through war and actual sacrifice. So a tremendous amount is on the line. Also the man is paying and providing support for the whole family for 99% of history. Lots of last names originate from a story of the patriarch's trade or symbolism obvious statement but a Smith was a smith, a Miller was a miller. It wasn't the woman that was smithing. Again if history decided to make it the daughter carries the last name that would be fine but the choice needs to be consistent so families can plan with this in mind so if it is important to them there can be a standard for which it is done. So everyone has the same expectation that the designated man or woman whichever society decides is the bearer of the last name and the continuation of that legacy. Let's say a family has 2 daughters, but the dad has a legacy he wants to pass down so he decides to have another in hopes that his son can carry the name on. Family planning was often done in this way. In the same way a family had daughters to essentially guarantee some semblance of family wealth, to make a dowry for her hand in marriage so the daughter isn't insignificant because she doesn't carry the name, that just wasn't her role. Because of her existence her family would gain assets and survive in often poverty stricken circumstances. Remember she often wasn't contributing financialy, it was the man providing for the household. I can't really think of a scenario in that society where it makes more sense for her to carry the last name when he is the one working his back to the bone to provide for his loved ones. Now in modern times more women work and what not but the culture has already been long since established. You are trying to change norms that already have been long since accepted for largely arbitrary reasons. And now these norms actually have significance to people because they are long and entrenched in our culture for a good reason. So yea the whole conversation to me lacked historical referencing and time sensitive logic to the issue at hand and an understanding of cultural significance. So then what does it ultimately boil down to...? A cringe worthy virtue signal to espouse modern progressivism and feminism, and the snaps and applause from Sharleen... eww...

Yaaay, a love fest!!
This should be interesting to see Sharleen and Taylor together, will Sharleen still insist they are nothing alike?! And it's not primarily looks, its their vibe/ how they come across.
1:00:57 I take it back with the Miley Cyrus answer😂
I thought Sharleen and Taylor did not look alike, but in this interview I DO see a resemblance. They look like sisters. 👯♀️
I ran to this faster than Usain.

Andy at 44:50 😂😂😂😂
Rubi didn’t want to say “Happy New Year” to the Shandies?
My niece’s husband took her last name.

Great interview, love them both. When are you interviewing Ashley and Tyler?
I got here first.
Oh I love it when that happens :)
