While taking wiskunde in the Netherlands, I listened carefully because most of the math was familiar. The term names were different and some of which were more understandable in Dutch. My hurdle was to learn enough Dutch to follow the class without trying to translate into my head constantly. Eventually it was smoother. For those who are in the U.S., wiskunde in a Dutch high school is a full range of maths and a progression throughout the year instead of a year for levels of algebra, geometry, or calculus.
There is a mistake in the English subtitle at 3:14. Dutch: "Vierentwintig gedeeld door zes is vier" English: "24 divided by 6 is 2" English subtitle should be "24 divided by 6 is 4" (vier is 4, twee is 2) Anyway, thanks a lot! Excellent video.

5:34 technically you CAN (by "you CAN" I mean that this operation will give a meaningful result) divide by zero in such structures like Riemann sphere and Wheel theory. Of course, you wouldn't expect someone having only base school knowledge knowing these things. But to be on the rigorous side (since we are talking about math) , I would like to add this comment ☺️
@@WanderingLethe Thank you, Captain Obvious. It would be nice, if you learn also about Wheel theory which I literally mentioned in the very same comment.
@@WanderingLethe Second of all ,I never mentioned that you can define 0/0 in Riemann sphere. I literally said that you can divide by zero in Riemann sphere which doesn't imply that you can divide any number by zero. Reread my comment carefully.
'Math'? It's with a heavy heart and a feeling of resignation that I see that American English has won on the international stage. The UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and all other English speaking countries will pack our 'Maths' in our bags and leave.
1:50 This young man may say he likes math and that it's fun and useful. But oh my god, what a mistake with one of the most basic sums! 8+6=10? It may be hard at times, but this is a sum taught when you're 7 or 8 years old, at max. By the way, pi by itself is not the circumference of a circle, but one of the constants with which the circumference of circles as well as the volume of spheres can be calculated. You need the length of half the diameter, or in other words the radius of the shape in question, in order to calculate the circumference and area of circles, or the circumference and/or volume of spheres. The radius is depicted by the small letter r. For circumferences of circles and spheres: 2 × pi × r For the area of circles: pi × r² For volumes of spheres: 4/3 × pi × r³ (if I'm not mistaken; however, this wasn't taught to me in class, because those details on spheres weren't part of the subject material at high school during my time there; it is part of the levels above high school in the Netherlands, however (if not in HAVO, then still certainly in VWO), but unfortunately I couldn't get that far due to some disabilities).
any number divided by zero is infinite. Any number divided by infinite is zero. zero divided by zero and infinite divided by infinite are undetermined. This is in programma in europe of the last year at school before university.
It's not a correct answer. The answer depends on the system you're in. If you talk about the rings like real or complex numbers, the operation of division by zero is not defined. If you talk about Riemann sphere, than any number but zero divided by zero will be infinitely remote point aka infinity, if you talk about Wheel algebra, than you can also divide zero by zero.
