I appreciated your video. I bought both model and I was quite disappointed about the q30 because the sound is not as clear as the q20. It’s like there’s always a background noise. I don’t know if you have noticed as well. I think I will keep the q20. Sad because the q30 smartphone app is very nice.

i need your help… so i’ve been thinking of buying a headphone lower than 80$ and i cam across anker headphones, after doing my research i figured that the Q30 and Q20+ are the best options for myself, but it’s just that i don’t know what’s the difference between them except for the nc options in the Q30 and the case, which aren’t really an issue for me,, they’re kind of the same price so i’ve been wondering what are the real differences between them.
Basically the design or appearance of the headphones themselves.Also the buttons.I like the buttons on the Q20+ much better.Other than that you get the touch feature with the Q30s on the one side for NC and a few more options for noise cancelling on the Q30s.I like the Q20+ for the buttons.Just easier to feel.You also get the app usb c,2 mics.Basically the same but appearance is different.Hope this helps.

Emmy - there's no BassUp feature, in the older Soundcore sense where it was either on or off. But no, it's not a heavy thumper that some people prefer. I'm happy with the Q30s bass - it's adequate.

Back in the day, I had the porta pros, and the most important thing to me is the quality of the sound. However, I cannot deny all the bangs and whistles that you get with the Q30s. I can currently get the BT Ones for $44, or a midnight blue version of the Soundcore Q30s for $64. Please advise.
@@gearupaaron First and foremost, the sound quality. Accurate, clear sound reproduction. I do happen to also like the idea of noise cancellation and of portability. The fact that the q30s have an app that seems really good, that can modify the sound, and the levels of noise cancellation is fantastic. On the other hand, the q30s are large and perhaps a bit cumbersome when it comes to commuting on public transportation. So, I'm sort of torn between the portability of the BT ones versus the rather incredible options offered by the q30s.
@@gearupaaron It isn't a crazy idea. The Status Audio BT Ones are now $39. However the Soundcore Life Q30 are now sold out in the midnight blue color which was $64. The black model, which was at one time $64 on Amazon, is currently $79. When the black or the midnight blue goes back to $64, I would buy them. Then, for $103, I would have the basic portal headphones as well as the comprehensive noise-reducing headphones.
Just picked these up. My biggest concern was the mic quality which, especially being outdoors, sounds really good. Have there been anymore firmware updates and improvements since this video came out?

I bought the Q10 and I can't convince my to by the Q20/Q30/Q35 because of the sound quality of the Q10. Q10..... No extra features but for$ 39-$49 new, bang for the buck, Q10 is the best buy. Battery life is like forever! I can't remember last time I charged them and there at like 90% after like 6 days of morning and night use (maybe even more!).

Nah, I was surprised that you went from having a boom mic to the Q30. It's not ideal for gaming, but works nonetheless. At the end of the day, it's down to your ears and preference. To me, I think the Q30 sounds better, for what it's worth.

Yang lewat paling ukuran earcup q30 lebih gede dikt. Tapi katanya q30 agak bocor suara nya. Yang paling miss itu sih app support. Q20 gak ada app nya, gak bisa ambient/ transparent mode. Sama equalizer nya.
Q30 actually sounds better than XM4’s with proper eq settings. The Sony is over engineered and technically marvelous, but loses out on the most important factor for a headphone. And the Q30 is only $80.

hi aaron! does poor clamping somewhat equate to comfort for extended use with glasses? any pain/fatigue on your ear when used for an hour or so?

I get what you're asking, Rob... IIRC, the 30 has a slighter stronger amplification (ie. higher max volume).

At mid frequencies, yes, to my ears at least.
Q10 are the greatest for highs and bass.
I've never owned or listened to the Q10... I wonder what the SQ progression is like from that to the Q20.

Spot-on opinion! Besides what you said about the Sonys, I'd add that I love its warm sound - it can make even lo-fi recordings sound like analog LPs.

The Soundcore Q20 was NEVER EVER the best budget pair of over-ear ANC headphones. Their sound was muddy and flat, and the ANC negligible .
