I made 2 similar ones with a pocket tugged beneath the cover and I don´t like seeing the bottom corners. With a smaller pocket like this, the corners will have a better finish. Also, the spine without cardboard is a better idea for a notebook that gets thinner. Thank you so much for this tutorial.
This is a brilliant tutorial I’ve watched it a number of times now & keep learning as I’m going..i was happy to hear could use also for a spiral notebook which is what I’m working on at the moment & not matter how hard I try I’m always just not making the gap wide enough to cover it properly..I did what you mentioned and wrapped paper around to get an idea of space but just not getting it right..practicing on scrap pieces till I get it right, but it would be great if you were able to do a tutorial using a spiral replaceable notebook so can actually see the process 😊
I will definitely add that to my list of tutorials. Getting that gap right is tricky. If you take a long skinny strip of paper, wrap it around the spiral and mark the beginning and end. Open up your strip of paper and measure the distance between the 2 marks then add 1/4", this will give you the right amount of "gap".
