My first malasadas were at Paia General store. they were about 1.5" I went to Honolulu 50th fair ordered 6 pcs they were almost 4" no way could I finish too much sugar :)
I just went back to Hawaii in October 2024 and I made it a point to stop at Leonard's on apahulu and also the truck in Hawaii Kai shopping center they had a truck there. In the 70s I'd go Leonard's for malasadas & kona coffee! Good memories ❤❤
Their coffee is gross now, it’s not Kona coffee and it watery, might want to skip it.
