- Fourth episode of my weekly Vlog. This time I shot some medium format film with a historical camera, a Rolleicord. It´s been a long time I shot with this camera and failed with some things but see it yourself. It was fun and there will be more videos about shooting film in the future. Thanks Tobi for helping me with the filming!

Nice! I just acquired a Rolleicord IV, it has a little switch on the front, in one position you can't double expose; after taking a photo you can't cock the shutter again until you advance the film.
sounds pretty good! Sadly I don't have that little switch but if you use it regularly you get used to it and it won't happen that often. Good luck with your new purchase :)
@@JohannesNickel Hmm it must vary depending on the exact model. I thought someone had commented that yours was the Rollei IV but presumably not.

Hey, what settings would you recommend for this camera on a cloudy day vs sunny day? What speed film and aperture did you used? it seems that the day was a little cloudy.
Hej man, back then it was a cloudy day and it all depends on the situation & look you´d like to create as well as other circumstances like using a tripod and so on. I would recommend using a light meter, there are great apps these day that do the job! And I personally like using ISO 400 Films, gives me more variety vs 100 or 200 and I also like the look of these films.

When you have had one as long as I have you can get down to only accidentally double exposing one or two per roll.
ok, but seems like its still happening after time :D - I actually wrote a little note on the back that should remind me - guess the best solution would be shooting with it on a regular basis ;)
@@JohannesNickel I try an have a system: always wind film immediately after taking a shot, don't cock the shutter until ready to fire. But do I fail to do this? All the time. One day I'll learn.
