Greetings Marcel hope you are keeping well. I really appreciate all your wonderful comments. Trust me the only limit is your imagination. You will love your little lights I promise
@marceljendrzey4441 they are an excellent & economic purchase. I love mine & they always illicit comments such as how did you get those colors. Do yourself a favor and get the mister if you haven’t already!
Omg Lee! Every time one of your videos pops up I’m inspired and head to the store to buy the supplies if I don’t have them. Love it! Have you ever done a video on all the tools you use for your macro pictures? Thanks for these videos, they are great!
Hi Jennifer thank you for such a wonderful comment. I will have to do a video on my tools. That sounds like a good plan to me I don’t have lots of think but what I do have really are important to my style of photography
Hi, Lee. I think you are the most creative TH-camr out there. You see something in everything to take a macro photo with. And I think you are the drop king of TH-cam. I have been taking photographs for almost 35 years and I am always amazed at what you have found. It really is great what you do and I have a lot of respect for your creativity, friend. Antoine. P.S. The lens you are using now is one of the best macro lenses available. I work with the Lumix G9 with this lens and the photos are as sharp as a razor.
Wow what a compliment I don’t know what to say I am absolutely speechless. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart. I have only just started using the Olympus with the little 60mm lens and I must say you are 100% correct about how sharp it is. I came across it after doing a workshop with a lady and she had one. I was taking pictures with it and I just couldn’t believe how sharp it was. I could actually see the water droplets swirling around when I was focusing in on them. I have used a lot of different lenses but this one is my favourite one over them all.
Absolutely ❤️!! Stunning work as always dear Lee! Congratulations again and many thanks for sharing your extraordinary talent with us 🌷. Can we have also the link for small lighting which you have been using please xx
Awww god bless you my friend thank you from the bottom of my ❤️ I really appreciate you kind words🙏🙏🙏 I will put the link below for you amzn.to/42pLOVT
Hi Bev thank you once again for your kindness. And thank you for your comment to Marcel about the light and spray bottle. This is exactly what I want people to do. By getting involved and sharing
Fantastic I totally agree with you, most definitely it is a process. It just amazed me how many people forget about it. But yet it makes or breaks a picture
Hi buddy thank you kindly. You can use any container as long as it is transparent. If you have any old take away containers they work just as good my friend. Let me know how you get on
I could not agree more. The background is really important. You are extremely creative. I never would have thought of using that as a background and yet so simple. Well done!!
Hi my friend thank you ever so much. You really can use anything in macro photography for a background. The depth of filed is so shallow you can blur it out so it looks totally different
Hi there Karen hope you are keeping well. Thank you for stopping by to send me a wonderful message. A lot of people really don’t take enough time to look at their backgrounds. I have really been studying this and to me it really does make sense
Great video and I agree with what you've said about backgrounds. One thing that became apparent to me with macro is that the background is just as important as the subject. This lesson I took my other types of photgraphy as well. Thank you Lee.
Hi buddy it’s funny how people seem to forget about their background when it comes to macro photography but it really does make a massive difference like you said it’s the same for all photography
You know, when I'm suffering and I can't do any new and good stuff, coming to the YT and I see you as you 'come from the bathroom' and BAMM!! 😁 Brilliant !!
Hi my friend thank you ever so much for your comment. I apologise for the bad camera angle. I should have said in the video as well. The light was on the background only
Nice video. I pay a lot of attention to my backgrounds, even when shooting out in the field. You might have mentioned these in another video, but how do you feel about background color cards? Are they too flat, or lacking in texture?
Fantastic question my friend, I do use cards sometimes but I feel it takes away the environment away from the subject. I like to use the natural background as much as possible. I do find background cards a little flat.
another great video of how to use what you have on hand. Lee, what is the seed pod? From the states, that doesn't look familiar to me. Also, I've tried looking for these LED lights you've been using... any hint on what to search for or a link? That's a cute little light.
Hi Jessica thank you kindly for taking the time to drop me such a wonderful message I really appreciate it. I think they call them goats beard in the USA They look like giant dandelions when they flower. I will drop you a link at the bottom for the lights at the bottom a.co/d/1l6yEIT
@@LeeHallphotography great, found them on the US site too. I will have to look up the Goats beard, appreciate your time. I've been binge watching your videos... please don't stop, you're a rare talent in the YT world for being genuine and a great teacher!
God bless you I changed the Amazon over to USA for you. I keep forgetting that Amazon is different in other parts of the world. I have other subscribers from the USA that have told me about goats beard plants. They are classed as a weed
Hi my friend to be honest I will be trying it out as soon as I can get out and shoot some insects. And to be fair I still don’t know how to use it properly yet. But I am going to meet up with my good friend Stewart wood so he can show me
Boom Baby! Keep it up!
Hello my hero thank you kindly. Role on the spring time buddy let’s get out there and have some fun again

Totally agree about backgrounds, I find the backgound is more of a thought process than the subect.

Thank you Lee! Another fun and inspiring video!!!

Ps... Amazon are now doing the same lights but, there are two on the base instead of of one which move independently of each other. Just over £18
