im 100% sure they do, because their privacy policies imply so. (to analyse raw face and voice data, which is obviously only possible with the unmodified video).
guess what, minors also share nudes on discord, which also clearly states in its policy that their moderators (people who work for discord's trust and safety, whom some of which have been alleged pedophiles) can access **any voice, media and text data**.
most are blissfully unaware of this, and once they've already started, even if they are informed, they arent willing to "change their ways" because "no one's going to look at it anyways"

00:50 I was digging through snapchat not too long ago and I found that they actually have the base image and filter/text/emojis/stickers retrievable as separate files.. Both for video and image format media..
My guess as for why they keep them separate rather than to render them as one piece of media is that content moderation & geographical content moderation is then possible posthumously and the content wont have to be fully restricted/removed where due.
I don't find it implausible that TikTok does the same since it's... well... they probably didn't develop that aspect of the app with n0ode people in mind.., and they may also tackle content moderation the same way..

Having people join a Discord channnel seems like a pretty bad way to go about it since all it takes is one determined person to start sending messages to everyone about it being a scam. That or the server gets taken down by Discord mods, but considering how 30k users accumulated, that seems slow/unlikely.

Me too. When i first saw it i thought, "this is weird, I'm not going to use it." after a while i started thinking "this is dangerous, I'm definitely not going to use it."
The concept itself of shoving piles of content into your brain is not good. I don't have a problem with short or silly, but most of it's just junk. The dangerous part is how it makes its users so invested in being like everyone else on it. To go so far as to stick a fork in an outlet or eat detergent or dance bare in front of a camera because it's how they think they'll be accepted. I'm worried for people my age and especially younger folks who are still developing social skills. I want them to realize how much of a time sink it is and that the fear of missing out can be overcome.

Some people like power and stability. In some countries, public salary, work conditions and benefits outweigh the higher salary in the private sector.

@@aquiledelrosa I am not the best mind but I am surrounded by them. The private sector gives a lot of money but it does not give enough time to have a life. The absence of micromanagement and productivity paranoid managers has a very good result in the output.
So basically, older people and mothers. I and my colleagues started in the private sector, got burnt and joined the public sector.

i think the way it works is .
normally the image is rendered by where all the layers are flattened to 1 image then made into mp4 format.
the mp4 format seems to support the quality of a vector image where it can be upscaled without pixelating making it possible to upscale a 640x480 to 8k without pixelating.
so maybe mp4 has the capability to support layers like a vector image.
what is happening is the effect is applied then the video is rendered and the effect is now a layer that can be removed.
maybe the result is caused by the app being infected though the ios and iphone should be able to detect compromised app and block it from working.
it is also possible just like the blue and green screen where you have to be very careful about what colors you wear say as a weather person on tv the mirrorphor effect may have a similar vulnerability.
it is also possible that tiktok keeps a copy of the raw un effected video and like a few years ago where on youtube you could bypass the age and copyright blocks the url was still in the html but the html was written to no not show the video and where all the stuff was happening on the users end tiktok maybe doing the same thing the script may be downloading the hidden url.
the final thing i think is happening is the mirrorphor effect is acting like the blue and green screen and the filter removal is rendering new cgi skin to the image.
