Thanks for the vid. Helped me decide on returning the DCM 3 for the DCM 6 instead since I have a weaker 48v phantom power mixer. I love it for the sound quality and "flatness" of the sound. If I´m asked to pick on anything with it -I noticed one possible smaller issue, sometimes parts of a word sound "digital" as if it's briefly a lower bitrate and gets digitally distorted, I noticed it in a few words when you talk now, I thought it was just because of youtube converting the sound of your video, but now that I have the DCM 6 myself I noticed the exact same thing in some of the words. It´s not very pronounced, but still, sometimes noticeable if you really listen for it.
@@MatthewHaines Sure: 00:00 - on the "ai" sound of H(ai)nes. 00:16 - the word "one". 00:20 - there is a lingering digital typ sound at the end of the word "boost". 00:23 - "un" part in the word (un)powered, sounds digitized 00:29 - the word "advantages" sounds as if it was a bit compressed, if that makes sense. 00:39 - the word "that´s" sounds digitized. 00:54 - the words "on these" float into each other. 1:24 - the word "filter" sounds digitized. 1:37 - the letter "b" in "d(b)v" souds digitized. 1:43 - the letter "s" in "(s)m7b" sounds digitized. 2:36 - the word "voice" sounds digitized. 2:24 - the word "great" has an added digitized effect somewhat. 4:15 - the words "I´m gonna do" sounds a bit digitized. 4:17 - "boom" in "(boom)arm" sounds digitized. 4:40 - the word "lean" sounds digitized. 5:15 - the word "probably" sounds digitized. I´ve also noticed the same type of things in my own test recordings with the mic today. Now to me these are quite minor things and I still love this microphone and will be keeping it, as I feel it gives comparable sound to microphones two-three times the price.
@@swedishprepper775 Thank you for that detailed list! I've listened to both my original 4k video render and also the TH-cam version, and I'm not hearing it. perhaps it has something to do with your playback setup? (Or maybe you can hear subtitles that I can't! 🤷♂)
@@MatthewHaines Thank you so much for checking. If you can't hear it that is actually good, then I won't have to worry about people hearing it when I talk.

Hmm, that has me very curious! Can you identify a particular part in the video where you hear it?
