    3U: 21 - 29 lbs

    You're very stiff when you play...you need to be more relax and fluent. It's making you predicatable and taking away a lot of potential power in your shots.

    Unrelated topic: is it ok to use markers instead of stencil ink if the marker doesn't have a solvent that can damage the strings?

    • @VyomSharma29

      Yes it is fine to do this but the ink marks on the shuttle will be a lot more prominent, I have tried it

      I personally wouldn’t just in case it does

    • @fmfrs

      i tried it and i dont think it is ok to use markers for stencil replacement for the feel on the strings would change and the string sounds would be less crisp. I felt that the tension also got reduced as the result. Though if you are ok with those just use markers

    • @ThaiOdessy

      I used markers to mark out the sweet spot so that the stain on the shuttle cork will tell me that I'm hitting with the correct timing. It tried in on 4 of my rackets, it doesn't seemed to harm the string, (doesn't break faster than usual), strings are BG5/BG6/BG65 at 26 to 28 lbs... can't remember exactly, it was quite sometime ago.

    For reference, what is CK Yews level? hard to tell since anyone going up against proffesional players seems to just get bullied around until the pros take it easy

      District or lower

    • @TheOneDumDum

      For reference, I usually don't pay attention to personal style of playing or results, but you can tell by the quality of shots.
      1) More than 70% of drops from the back court isn't tight enough to the net and land past the service line. Ben&Sean barely have to take a step to return them.
      2) More than half the smashes are too flat, as if they're aiming for the backline, too easy for Ben&Sean to just drive counter. The second set sees slightly more steeper smashes.
      Those 2 things are not dependent on who the opponents are so it's a clearer indication of levels in my opinion. On the other hand... these things I usually notice at first glance need to be adjusted based on expected level. Obviously Ben&Sean would have to lower their level significantly to play these type of matches... so of course their flat smashes and loose drops isn't an indication of their level but rather just them not whipping the wrist as much. They're just playing around and putting the bird into the court because they don't feel any pressure to play a tight/quality shot.

    • @Lucas-ov9ky

      I would say high intermediate. He's able to do a variety of attacking shots and possesses a good backhand shot. He's also fairly consistent with his shots and able to defend well.

    • @TheOneDumDum

      @@Lucas-ov9ky i would say solid intermediate but based on the quality of the shots overall, i wouldn't say "high". But it's all subjective
