Talking about the lack of "character" in this premium product of the BMW brand is subjective and irrelevant. Especially if we are talking about some kind of comparison with the Neanderthal character of Moto Guzzi.
Good video, and thanks. Its strange how subjective bikes are. Ive ridden and owned bikes for over 50 years and cant say ive ever met a bike without character? I have owned a guzzi v7 and ridden a friends v85... At the tome time i was on an old gs1100 ...and on the country roads i prefered the gs...it just felt more planted. The 800gs is on my test list so will look for the missing character whatever that is 👍
@@cetdac3 yes subjective is the word the F800GS is a great bike it rode well, I have owned a R1200GS in the past a really great touring bike, I think for me I always go back to BMW to bench mark everything else by they are so popular for a reason but I just love Italian bikes, hate the dealers but love the bikes😁😁 thanks for watching and commenting👍
@@cetdac3 hi thanks for commenting and watching, l hope you find the character in the f800GS, it is without doubt a very good bike, and does everything well, 👍
I have several GS models one is the 750GS, it’s the second one I’ve owned. My first was a 2019 model now on a 22 plate, there’s no other difference apart from the slight increase in engine size, even the 2019 had the TFT. Nice review though. Re did that put it in the wrong place, should have said although not relevant now push the top of the menu button to find more info including the fuel gauge👍
People that don't understand what character means, they just can't have the same satisfaction of just riding and owning a guzzi. Guzzi is a companion and beyond comparison. I m sorry for the people they are obsessed with spec sheets and vacuum cleaner aesthetics
Merci Bernard, pour ton commentaire, je roule beaucoup plus vite avec ma propre moto et ayant été arrêté par la police pour excès de vitesse, récemment j'y allais doucement !! merci d'avoir commenté
Thanks for commenting, l was looking at the TA the other day Quality seemed ok, have yet to ride one, my V85TT is just so much fun it will be sticking around for awhile😁😁
Absolutely right, maybe things will improve with the new models and it would be great to have a Guzzi dealer in the Lancashire area. I-think. The way things are going manufacturers are closing dealerships so how about a new super centre for Italian bikes one can only dream😁😁
Having/owning MG V85TT is getting closer to the real BMW GS than having this chinese toy F800GS. The last F800GS had Rotax Engine so there was a connection to the past glorry of BMW aircraft engines and had at least upside down forks meanwille this chinese toy doesnt have it....
Looks like good value from BMW for a change, question is it 1000 euro better than the Honda Transalp 750. Btw, there are modern bad bikes - to me they're overweight, full of electronic gizmos to the gills, expensive and falsely promising riders they can adventure off road through the desert and jungles.o
No offence mate but riding a bike at 40 something miles an hour on a full carriageway!!!! I’m 70 and ride a f800. When I start riding a motorcycle like this I will sell it and buy a moped or walk.
One of the only proper reviews of this bike on TH-cam. Thx!
Thank you Lars, and thanks for watching😁

Bonjour, si nous achetons une 800GS pour rester à 50 km/h il faudrait sans doute penser à un scooter 125 cc

Love the V85 but would pick the F800 GS over the Transalp.
Absolutely hate the 18/21 wheels and cheap looking plastics of the TA.

i heard that 2024 F800 GS has quickshifter as default feature and not an option. is that correct?
You would have to check the BMW website, I could not answer for sure, thanks for watching and commenting👍
Dream
the reason you don't see many Moto Guzzi 's is there is not many Dealers in the UK

its a 750gs with 10 hp more. same everything; so why buy new if you have a 750 ?
Good point, thanks for watching.
can a motorbike with a chaindrive, a chinese engine and the charmes of a refrigerator replace a MOTO GUZZI V85TT🤨? Really?
No it cannot, 😁😁😁
