I will not be watching any of your future reactions for this show, you have done X-Men '97 a massive disservice. Disrespectful, ignorant and belittling.
The Second episode reminded me why I love Magneto as a character so much! His dialogue and voice acting are absolutely perfect in X-Men 97! This show is awesome so far!!! ✨️✨️🎆
They absolutely nailed that grey area of morality where Magneto dwells. The moment he was like, "oh how you follow the rules, and still they come for for you" that's when I knew they had managed to bring back what made x-men shine.
“Don’t make me let you down” was such a badass moment. Magneto’s whole speech during that scene was great. And the Storm stuff at the end of episode 2 was so sad. I know eventually she’ll get her powers back, but it’s tough watching her lose something that is such an intrinsic part of her identity.
What I loved most about that speech was how it probably fell on some deaf ears. Magneto only ever fought the way he did because he understood that humans are petty and prejudiced and despite how many wrongs they commit against mutants, will still label mutants the bad guys for fighting back. He went out of his way to prove a point by NOT just letting them drop and vaporize on re-entry but deep down he still feels the way he always has. It's only a matter of time before he won't be able to take the high road anymore. I mean he literally said it after what happened to Storm: "is this where the high road goes?" As a kid I was an X-Men fan. As an adult I'm a Brotherhood fan. #MagnetoWasRight 😂
I totally agree man as i grew up i started to like Magneto more, and more, but i have to say Gambit was my favorite character as kid alongside Logan and Kurt, and it hurts seen him as cuck lol. Even though i think this adds some great tension for the team and everything, if done correctly it could be one of the best storylines of the season. @@Autobot9400
They are. The internet is going nuts over the show and those lines. Also it's nogt out of place, they called in storm who controls the weather, give em the forecast is funny in that context. Acting like being older that line is corny lolol
You guys left out the best line of ep. 2, when the doctor refused to deliver Jeans baby, Wolverine goes, “ I got you C-section right here!*schnik*”. 😂😂😂
@joetj I don't blame you. There's other TH-camrs who are less takative and take notice of that quote. Plus, I like that quote, and I know it once I watched the episode, then I wanted to this channel.
Forget Bishop's time-travelling abilities. These two eps took me back thirty years. At least now I don't need to wake up at breakfast time to see a new episode. Plus I can drink now Sugah!!!
Madelyn Prior is the preggo Jean. They're leading up to the Inferno storyline. That was the introduction of Cable. Also, The Goblin Queen was revealed in the XMEN 97 action figure line. And all this was orchestrated by Sinister on his ambition to create the perfect Mutant.
Great job !! I loved these episodes so much! From Cajun Gambit to southern fried Rogue and all the bubs in between. This is the best kind of nostalgia! It’s like they never left!
This is definitely going into X-Men Inferno story line. Mr. Sinister is heavily hinted and Madelyn showing up is a dead give away. I loved that run. I started collecting comics during that time.
I watched this series religiously circa 92’ - 93’ on Saturday mornings. It was a cult classic! Many knew about, however many missed out on it. I got give credit to the team, actors, animators, directors etc for capturing the essence of the original. In the early 90’s TMNT, Ninja Scroll, Lens Man, Liquid Television, X-Men, Vampire Hunter D, & Robot Carnival were goated.
Professor X and Magneto's views were like Martin Luther King and Malcom X. They had the same end game but their approach on how to get there were very different.
I thought Magneto was going to drop all the judges from the top of the Earth. I was panicking that he was going back to his old ways. But Cyclops took so much beatings to the face. It was brutal.
Anyone else got any Days of Future Past vibes when Magneto did his speech? It was similar but the message in this case is different because Magneto is actually trying to show that he's not the same person as he was before and trying to respect Xavier's wishes. It was even to the point where we saw tears down his face. The old him would had killed them ALL but he said: "Hey, I'm not that dude anymore."
I think when the MCU film “Mutants” is going to have a trailer, if they made an Xmen 97 themed trailer with the music and character intros the audience would go absolutely wild!
I cried sm for Storm like we finally had screen time for this gem of a goddess- and we got this traumatizing scene I can’t- magneto is soooo good, cyclops fighting style is amazing and I can’t wait for the rest of the episodes??????

That series is what got me into comic books so yeah. Dorkgasm when I watched this. The plot was kind of a giveaway when I saw Morph and knowing what went on with character in TAS. First getting the original cast back was the best idea in the world. That sold it. I like how they progress through a scene with the original type of animation then jump into the very stylish animation to ramp up the action. I think that works very well. Inserting various and popular comic storylines works well. And the deceptive mystery aspect works well. All around it works. I more look forward to seeing opinions from people who never saw the OG series and see it also was appealing to them. The only thing that was missing was that metal riff version of the theme that used to run during the credits. Oh and I want a video game based on this and I want it right now. As far as JG 2nd. Trying to avoid spoilers think of Sinister, Cable born as a baby and a character with the initials MP from the comics. And Ninja Turtles cereal then. Probably why I have health problems and a possible gigantic tapeworm now.
Funny days of future past already happened in the original 90s xmen series in Bishop's first appearance. But it was not the only time travel related arc
I'm glad they showed an ounce of what Cyclops can do with his power here unlike the movies where they didn't do him justice as Magneto and Rogue had a brief romance in that comic book
It’s probably the real Jean at the door. In the comics Scott fell for a lookalike of Jean named Madelyn Pryor a storyline written after the dark phoenix saga.
Madelyne pryor story arc begins..., possibly we will see mr sinister in a few episodes so is the marauders,...maybe expecting gambit's betreyal here...working for sinister perhaps? Just speculating which storyline they are leaning in from... introducing nightcrawler to be part of x men team permanently so he will be included in the intro...Forge will also appear...waiting for emma frost, sebastian shaw and possible apocalypse return at the end of the season...
