Thank you for sharing the information and the descriptions you gave about the trails (I think you gave just enough information on how to find the trailhead). I heard that you could get up above the lower falls, but could never see how to do it. Now I will need to go back up there and see if I can find that trail you mention that goes up to the top. When we were at Upper Falls earlier in the summer, I noticed there wasn't nearly as much water as last August when we were there, but still worth the effort. It is a beautiful area and so close by.
If you do go to the upper fall there is usually a rope that you can actually get above the 2nd fall. Above it there are a few other falls that you can work your way up; however, this does require some exposed climbing so I didn't want to show it in fear people would get themselves hurt. Very very cool though. Last year in early spring we actually hiked to the top of all the falls & rappelled down them all. Very very cool experience.
@@kodaexploring5176 My daughter and I finally made it up to the second of these falls yesterday. There is a lot more water this year than you experienced last year. It is beautiful. Thanks for explaining how to get there, otherwise I probably wouldn't have even tried.
I believe they were concerned about some of the ice on the trail. I just walked around the barrier. You can also hike from Bridal veil up in winter but that is much much longer.
I'm still surprised this spot is not as popular as it should be. I was hesitant to make a video of it but it's so close to the city that I figured its just a matter of time.. Plus maybe if we bring awareness to it people will do some clean up efforts there to correct the graffiti

I was there in January but the trail was closed. Awesome hike, thanks for sharing 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
Why was the trail closed???? I believe I actually hiked this in January. Micro spiked or Yaktrax were highly advised !!!
@@kodaexploring5176 not sure why, it was the day after new year's I'm coming back though 🤗🤗🤗

Too bad about the grafitti. This is what happens when mexicans arrive. Beautiful hike though.
