You gotta watch a documentary about Larry and Magic called “A Courtship of Rivals”. You’ll learn so much about the league. I grew up in the Boston area in the 80’s and that rivalry was everything.

When Larry Bird heard that Magic had HIV, Bird cried. He then called Magic on the phone and offered any support he needed. They were truly brothers from different mothers. Gotta watch Making the Case Larry Bird.

Same here-- I was really struck and impressed by your having been able to take the suggestions in the spirit I hope they were offered, and take what you could to make it even more fun for us to watch, and to put out even better reactions.
I hope your family is proud of you, because it takes a special person to do that-- among other things, it takes confidence, humility, a desire and willingness to accept criticism and learn/benefit from it rather than acting with anger and defensiveness.
I find these qualities important to show appreciation for, because in my experience they are not all that common.
So well done, and thanks! I too am subbed and turned the notifications button on.

Because the defenders didn’t know whether Larry was going to shoot pass or look for a pick he was able to make defenders look silly with the simplest of moves… if you watch you see that he constantly keeps moving the ball to find different passing lanes and moving the defenders hands and eyes…. He just understood the game on a different level.

Watching Larry live you appreciated him even more because of his off ball work and positioning, he looked like he was slacking or out of sync and lallygagging but he was actuallysetting up a score for the team, not for himself, everything looked messed up but in just a step or two you could see everything line up and transition into a score, he was more dangerous when the ball wasn’t in his hands and that’s legend material you don’t find in today’s players or game

Apart from his having been so young when he died, and being in top physical condition with no previous hint of any health problems, he was a spectacular player, and the loss on that level was immeasurable to the League, the Celtics and the fans.

People don't understand I was in my '20s in the '80s and I watch this all happen live... Larry had people just jittery and confused because he was such a great passer and he was such a great shooter they never could seem to get a handle on him they were so confused that you'd see him drop people in ways that other people don't drop people it's crazy

At forward 11 out of 10 NBA championships in a row the great from the university of San Francisco William Bill, Felton Russell
A small forward out of the university of Indiana State sycamores the legend Larry, Joe Byrd
Guard out of the University of North Carolina, Tar Heels, Michael air Jordan
And at point guard out of lower Merriam high school in Pennsylvania Kobe, the black mamba Bryant
There is your all-time starting lineup. LeBron is not in this cut. The rent is not in this cut. Barclay is not there Dr. J is not there. A whole lot of people are not on this team. That is your starting lineup for the all-time NBA starting lineup.

One if the best shooters in the League was 6th man with the Bull's Craig Hodges who finished 2nd to Larry twice during Bird's 3 in a row.
The 4th year Bird was out after having surgery on both ankles. Hodges won it then reporters asked him if he only won due to Bird's absence. Hodges responded "Larry knows where to find me."
Of course they went right to Larry and repeated what he said to which Bird responded "Yeah, I know where...at the end of the Bull's bench."
    He was savage.
Bird's lefthanded game was a 47 point, 14 rebound, 11 assist triple double with 22 of those points lefthanded.

celtics fan before larry bird ever got there. They have always been a championship team.No matter who their players was. But Larry Bird changed the definition of NB.A basketball along with Magic Johnson, without those 2 the NB.A would have went bankrupt

When Magic got HIV Bird called him that day both were crying on phone. Laker players didn't want nothing to do with Magic when they heard of it. Only Bird was in his corner

There are other adjectives besides crazy. If you don't know any, I'll mail you a dictionary and a thesaurus. Saying "that's crazy " all the time makes content extremely boring. A solid vocabulary is essential for good content!!!
