@@BitcoinStrategy Still a massive sell pressure compared to the negligible transaction fees. Ada bagholders are subsidizing the network through a loss of their portfolio's value. Once the treasury also starts selling of, it's when the death spiral will begin

Cardano is definitely a good medium to long term play given it's set to be a game changing project that rivals the top 3 in terms of utility. The question is will people realise this in the short term and we lose this really good entry point. It gets a lot of hate from bots and scammers because they know this, but unfortunately that fuels the unfounded negative perception. It will definitely switch though when the evidence becomes unavoidable to ignore.

I am buying
Cardano is an interesting project. The chain remains slow and transactions expensive, the eutxo model difficult for developers to get to grips with. However, the novel scaling solutions might work very well once they're properly implemented, and despite the chain currently having little use, the fair token sale means that there is a 'community', which ought to provide a steady trickle of development and users over time. I think it's more of a potential long-term play.

@@DeLaGhetto1986 The transaction cost is not too bad given the low price of ADA, but compared to Eth L2s post-dencun, plus SOL, SUI etc., yes, the transactions are vastly more expensive. So if the ADA price returns to previous highs a single transaction will be $0.4 or so. That's not at all competitive. I'm assuming Leios and a bunch more optimisations will bring it down. What's the time to finality? I'm not sure, sending to exchanges takes loads of confirmations, which takes a very long time.

This is the problem with only looking at charts and ignoring fundamentals IMO. Cardano has one of the highest FDV / TVL ratios and can easily drop another 80% relative to other L1s. That and it's generally known to be a dead chain with little to no future.

If you think its done then you have not keep up with ALL THE PROGRESS SINCE THE LAST BULL RUN. They now have Dapps and Smart contracts. We have had no downtime, highly decentralized, and no hacks. In fact we had DDoS attack on the network, and Cardano network was resilentant with no downtime or hack. The security on Cardano is higher than many layer 1s. It's the top security that will bring in the investors. As of July 2024, the Cardano network had 172 launched decentralized applications (dApps) and 1,364 projects in development. Cardano has several bridges, Wanchain, Rosen Bridge, Nervos, Nomos, Celer Bridge and Multichain... also working on more Bridges and willing to share transaction payments with partnered networks. Milkomeda and Hydra and two side chains that help speed up the network. We also have the Chang Hardfork that will be release this month that will give governance to the community members of Cardano and the treasury will be controlled by the ADA holders.
