    GP1 for me on my flat bar gravel/road bike.
    I run a set of old Cannondale bar ends, with bar tape for more comfort. They give me more hand positions, so I can stand and crank if I need to.
    I like that set up better than the regular ergon ends.
    Cheers

      I love the GP5 too. It gives you so many options. Pedal on, Franco!

    Thank you for great information for a recommendation about this handle grips 👍.

    Doing the research to address the increasing carpal-tunnel symptoms I get while riding, so I really appreciate these reviews of the Ergon GP series. Here's a question, however. My Bridgestone XO4 has slightly sweptback handlebars. I think they are just 12 degrees. I wonder how that will effect the ergonomics of the palm rests and the horns. Has anyone tried these grips with sweptback handlebars?

    My bike came with the gp1. I'd like to upgrade but I'm drawn between the gp4 and gp5. I think for everyday commuting the gp1 is totally sufficient. Only for longer tours (50+km) i would like to be able to switch hand positions.

      Ask yourself the question why you'd like to upgrade. If the answer is you need more comfort and more handpositions, go for it. I think the GP5 is the best one you can get.

    Great video. I'm sold on the 4's. What mirror are you using?

      Did you find the mirror he has installed? I've been searching, but can't find one with the same mount, orientation and shape.

    What mirror is that? Thanks for the helpful videos!

      I picked it up in Decathlon. It's mounted upside down because of the stem.

      @@BikeCommuterHero Can't wait to try my GP4'S. Do you recall the mirror you installed? I've been searching online for your mirror, but can't find one with the same mount, orientation and shape.

    what are your thoughts on drop bars ?

    • @BrianRPaterson
      @BrianRPaterson ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey. I do think think these would fit on drop bars. They wouldn't slide around the corner.
      However, you can buy little plastic palm-rest pieces that fit under the bar tape. That'll do more or less the same job.
      Worth a try if you ride drops.

      @@BrianRPaterson I asked about drop bars , not ergon grips on drop bars

    • @BrianRPaterson
      @BrianRPaterson ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JitinMisra Ah. I read that as "what do you think about these grips on drop bars."
      No worries.
      FWIW: I wouldn't put drop bars on a commuter bike. I think flat bars give you a bit more of an upright position, which is better if you are in and out of traffic, and comfortable if you just want to run down to the shops.
      I prefer wider flat bars for gravel too - more leverage and more control.
      Cheers
