I bought that base (in grey) from DT and a pine round from Hobby Lobby, and I'm planning to buy some new porch chairs so I'm waiting a minute on how to put my table together until I figure out my colors. I LOVE that the base has holes I can use to get the placement right for the top. Yours turned out really nice. I'm not much a fan of wood stain, but we'll see what happens! Pine has a mind of its own, and I've found it often knows better than I do.😄

Thank you so much for watching, and I definitely understand about pine having a mind of its own 😆 A wood conditioner is helpful when staining pine. I had contemplated using paint instead of stain, but I just can't seem to get away from that rustic farmhouse feel that I love so much 🙂

Love this but hate the way the wood round wouldn’t take stain along the very edge.

Yes, it is because of where they glued it at the factory. You can always use some jute cord and put it around that edge. 😉 Thank you for watching.
