Whenever I hear this specific loop, I just instantly think back to 2020 early pandemic. Staying up late because there was no work, the uncertainty of it all, wondering if life would ever be the same again. I don't know what it is about this part of the song, but this gives me such feelings of nostalgia. This feels like being a kid and waking up on the first day of school and seeing the sun shining through the blinds. It was an awesome summer and your both dreading the new school year and your excited.
It feels like staying up late to play a new video game you got on Christmas. It's just you in a dark room, sitting alone, with your N64 or your Playstation plugged in and you can see out the window it's snowing outside.

This brings me back to 2021. I just came from my deployment. Me and my wife at the time were starting our lives together and waiting for our home to be built. That was 3 years ago and now we don't speak to each other. Its kind of depressing yet beautiful at the same time because you never know where life will take you. It can be the absolute worst one day and the next you've never felt that type of happiness in a long time. I often find myself coming back to this melody to reminisce and imagine how my life may have been different if we never split up and grew apart. Its something about this tune that provokes a feeling of sadness while simultaneously making me happy because I have the memories I can look back on. But 2 weeks ago I’ve had a little bike accident which got me depressed without any explained reason. Now I have to take medication similar to Xanax just to feel normal and not panic without any reason. So just keep in mind that earning money is not the sense of living. Being happy is.

You could wake up on the top of a giant hill and it's near 75 degrees, perfect weather. With a perfect sunset. You can remember that time your whole family met up and had a party celebrating Christmas or Thanksgiving. And you and your cousins are playing in the backyard. Knowing that, that will probably never happen again and that you were lucky to be there. Sometimes I like to imagine my self in a bed surrounded by a single color maybe pink or blue. And there are clouds that same color. But the lower the darker shade of the color you see and the higher the lighter the shade is. Most likely I just remember the good times I had when I was young and happier. Some might say that it's hard to explain the feelings this song gives. But I can feel it clearly and understand it's meaning.

I came to this song as i sit in my bedroom staring at a beautiful sunset. Today I got the news that one of my old really close friends passed away a couple months ago. My heart has never felt this way before, I have never lost someone so close. Ive seen other people suffer from the pain of loss but now I finally get it. This feeling of knowing hes in a good place yet i still cant control my tears. The sky is beautiful and I think he painted it for me today. He was an amazing artist, friend and human. He never got into any bs, he was real and kept it real. To one of the most selfless amazing souls, I love you man and Ill miss you for a while.
